‘We’re going undefeated’ – Chiefs fans left ecstatic as Adam Schefter shares update from Arrowhead

Kansas City Chiefs fans have been left delighted after the team announced their iconic home will once again be known simply as Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs – like most other teams – agreed a naming rights deal for their historic stadium back in 2021 with the Government Employees Health Association.

As a result, Arrowhead’s name was changed to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Naturally, that did not stick with many Chiefs fans, who simply referred to their team’s home as Arrowhead despite the naming rights deal.

Five years on, GEHA have agreed to use the original name of the stadium, which has left Chiefs fans absolutely ecstatic.

Kansas City Chiefs fans react to Arrowhead Stadium name update​

Chiefs fans endured a difficult 2025 season, which ended in Patrick Mahomes suffering a serious knee injury and a 6-11 record.

There is optimism growing in Kansas City as Mahomes has returned to training camp, but the news regarding Arrowhead Stadium has proved to be the icing on the cake.

One Chiefs fan admitted: ‘I never stopped calling it Arrowhead’.


‘Everything is right in the world again,’ replied another fan on X after seeing Adam Schefter’s news.

The Chiefs will play at Arrowhead until 2031 when their lease for the stadium comes to an end.

Excitement for the new season is building among Chiefs supporters. One fan said: ‘Let’s goooooo’.

Another even said: ‘We are soooooooo back baby’.

When the Chiefs do leave Arrowhead, they will be moving into their £3Bn state-of-the-art stadium, which is across the state line in Kansas.

With optimism high, one Chiefs fan even said: ‘We’re going undefeated’.

Another fan added: ‘GEHA Field was such a dumb name for a classic stadium like Arrowhead, so I’m actually glad they’re changing it back’.

Although this will have little bearing on the Chiefs’ season, it is something that will go a long way with the supporters on the back of their worst season since 2012.
