Summary: Wibberley has completed the Bermuda Triangle of D-I football in the Commonwealth. As reported by others, Evan becomes the first modern player in history to suit up for all three D-I programs in Kentucky, starting at WKU as a freshman, playing last season for Kentucky, and now joining the Cards. So what did Louisville get from the Northern Kentucky born transfer? I think we got a solid dude.
After earning All-freshman honors at WKU in 2023, Wibberley followed it up with another standout season in 2024 earning some all-conference nods across various publications and provided evidence he could play at a power four level. After moving to Kentucky last season Evan battled for a spot up front with a loaded and deep line, and saw action in a quarter of the contests. Looking to see some more development and PT, Evan moved to Louisville where he will continue to be in stiff competition with interior lineman Lance Robinson and Sam Secrest for reps at center or guard. With over 15 starts, 29 games played, and walking into places like Georgia or South Caroline-a (bum, bum, bum), Evan brings experience to the room without question that is “so good, so good, so good”.
*And maybe I’ve been watching too much World Cup as of late but ‘Evan Wibberley’ sounds like as solid lass playing a hefty role on the pitch for England.
