Summary: Not sure if there will be a correlation, but it’s fitting that Jimmy Williams “the third” will be looking to make a move into more playing time in “the third” season of his young collegiate career. Williams comes from a long line of Jimmy’s, a line that one could say “runs deep”.

The lineman out of the notable Miami Gardens area got a few snaps as a freshman against Austin Peay and then played more than a dozen snaps against EKU last year, both in reserve roles at right guard. Jimmy has good size for an interior guy, and I still think he can build into a nice contributor this year and beyond.
To steal significant reps in 2026 Williams will likely be competing daily against a couple of veteran guys we previously covered in Johnnie Brown and Naeer Jackson, both five seasons into their college playing days, and both with good position flexibility. While we can’t predict the future here at Card Chronicle (unless Keith is holding out on me), my gut says Williams is a two deep guy without question next season if we see his development continue. One could say Jimmy’s progression thus far has been ‘Freaky Fast’.
