‘Moving differently’ – Chicago Bears fans are excited after seeing Luther Burden training camp clip

Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III has left fans purring after footage of his route running in training camp emerged.

It has been a mixed start to the week for Ben Johnson, with the Bears’ new safety, Coby Bryant, carted off from Monday’s practice.

‘It is understood that Bryant will miss between 8 and 10 weeks of action due to a knee injury.

However, focusing on the positive news, Burden has looked like one of the real stars from this year’s training camp.

During his rookie season, Burden racked up 652 receiving yards and caught two touchdowns.

There is already a growing expectation that the 22-year-old wide receiver could be set for his breakout season under quarterback Caleb Williams.

Chicago Bears fans are seriously excited about Luther Burden III​

Speaking after Monday’s practice, coach Johnson spoke incredibly highly about Burden.

“He’s done a phenomenal job, he’s extremely motivated, he wants to be the best and you see that competitive nature come out every time he hits the grass,” he said.

There is one clip doing the rounds on social media showing Burden torching cornerback Tyrique Stevenson during practice.

‘Luther moving different,’ said one Bears fan after watching the footage.


Another excited fan added: ‘Everyone should be buying Burden stock’.

Burden’s speed saw him sail past Stevenson initially before winning the contested catch following an underthrow from the quarterback.

There was even one fan who took an opportunity to hit out at the Chiefs: ‘So much better than any chiefs WR they’ve had since [Tyreek] Hill’.

‘Crazy thing is it’s pretty decent defense Luther burden is just that special,’ added another excited Bears fan.

It is hard not to be excited about Burden’s potential after seeing him in action at camp. One Bears fan said: ‘Burden bout to be a problem this year that release is filthy.’

One fan even compared him to Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown: ‘He’s actually the next Amon-Ra’.

Eyes will be on Burden to provide Williams with a consistent outlet this season.
