Rumors of new jerseys and uniform sets have swirled for some time, and the Houston Rockets appear to have launched their own countdown.
On Tuesday, the silhouettes of Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun — the team’s current All-Star duo — were posted in front of a yellow backdrop.
On Wednesday, a video purportedly shot from “Rudy T’s Diner” includes the following statement:
The video ends with “coming soon” plastered across the screen.
To say the least, this all points to a potential revival of the iconic “ketchup and mustard” color scheme, which the Rockets utilized from 1971 through 1995. The last two seasons in which Houston wore those colors, full-time, remain the only two NBA championships in the history of the franchise.
