‘He’s a support and a headache’ – Pedri talks Barcelona team-mates Gavi and Ferran Torres

Pedri has been chatting about some of his Barcelona team-mates while on international duty with Spain at World Cup 2026.

There are eight Barcelona players in the squad for the tournament in the USA, Mexico and Canada, including Gavi who made the cut after returning from a serious knee injury.

Gavi is one of the most popular players in the dressing room, who loves to joke around but is also known for his tenacity and energy on the pitch.

Pedri admits that his team-mate can certainly be a handful.

“I think he’s both a support and a headache. There are days when I want to kill him and others when I love him a lot!” he told RTVE.

Pedri also spoke about Ferran Torres and is confident the Barcelona forward will get off the mark at World Cup 2026 soon.

“Ferri’ is a player who can contribute a lot to the team. (Against Saudi Arabia) I was hoping that goal would go in, I’m sure it will come, he’ll score important goals. We help each other out,” he added.
