Caitlin Clark’s production this season has been questioned by some, but Robert Griffin III has explained why she’s still exceptional.
The Indiana Fever are tied for the 4th best record in the WNBA this year, and Caitlin Clark has been a huge contributor to that. She missed most of last season with injury, but is now making up for it.
Despite her averaging 21.5 points and 8.0 assists per game, however, some feel that Clark hasn’t really elevated to the levels that she was expected to in her third season in the league.
Clark has as many haters as she has fans, so her performances make waves either way. And while some have tried to put her down, former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III has come to her defence.

RGIII highlights Caitlin Clark’s unselfishness as the reason she is an all-time talent
Clark isn’t the Fever’s leading scorer this season, that would be Kelsey Mitchell averaging a career-high 24.0 points per game. Aliyah Boston is scoring better than she ever has, too.
She’s managed to score 16.9 points per game, with both players named as All-Stars this year. And Griffin thinks it’s exactly their success which proves how good Clark is.
“Caitlin Clark is a generational talent,” the former NFL star wrote on X. “No doubt about it. But her willingness to help her teammates Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston shine shows her championship DNA.
“When they have the hot hand, SHE FEEDS THEM. No selfishness. No jealousy. Just Ball. You LOVE to see it.”
Clark has remained focused on just one thing throughout, winning. She continues to insist it’s all that matters to her. And if her co-stars continue to shine alongside her, the Fever have a real chance at playoff success this season.
