Wait what?
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) all-time knockout leader and two-time Heavyweight title challenger Derrick Lewiscollides with red-hot Heavyweight prospect-turned contender Josh Hokit at UFC Freedom 250 this weekend (Sun., June 14, 2026) on the White House’s South Lawn in Washington, D.C., to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
Hokit has already taken a shot at Lewis this week, accusing “The Black Beast” of essentially quitting in his last fight. Because of that, “The Incredible Hok” is heading into this weekend with absolutely no respect for the knockout king.
And during UFC Freedom 250 media day (watch here), Hokit continued his onslaught of Lewis — both in his corny character and as himself.
However, Hokit delivered one line that came from way out of left field when he was asked if his former opponent, Curtis Blaydes, is more skilled than Lewis.
“I think so, but this is the opportunity that presented itself,” Hokit told reporters. “And Derrick Lewis — I’m going to have him kidnapped by a group of mimes, and the things that they will do to him will be unspeakable. Think about that.”
Well, Hokit’s bizarre mime kidnapping idea eventually made its way back to Lewis, and he responded exactly how you would expect “The Black Beast” to respond.
“I’m a freaky type of dude, so I don’t mind mimes playing with my booty hole or something like that,” Lewis said.
When asked if that had happened before, Lewis started to answer before quickly thinking better of it.
“No, uhhh, my wife, she uh — nah, I ain’t going to say nothing,” Lewis said. “No, I haven’t had anything like that before. Never mind.”
Only in MMA, right?
And remember, this was just media day. These two still have a press conference to get through before fight night.
Nevertheless, Lewis will be trying to snatch Hokit’s undefeated record this weekend on the South Lawn, while the surging prospect will be looking to fight (and talk) himself into the Heavyweight title conversation with a win.
