Andreas Christensen has spoken out about his future and made it clear once again that he’s hoping to continue with Barcelona.
The Catalans are expected to offer Christensen a contract extension this summer, but the Denmark international says nothing has been finalised yet.
“Yes, this is all I can confirm [that he would like to stay at Barça]. There is not much new. I don’t have much to share, but I hope to be able to do it soon. Everyone knows what I want and where my head is, so I hope everything falls into place soon,” he told reporters.
Christensen returned from a long injury lay-off at the end of the season and has now linked up with the Denmark national team for friendlies against Congo and Ukraine and says he’s feeling good.
“It’s been a long five months, but I feel like I’m in a good moment right now. These international matches can help me feel better during the summer,” he added.
“The last injury was the result of an accident. I would have loved to have played more minutes, but it wasn’t something I could control.”
Christensen played 56 minutes of Denmark’s friendly against Congo on Wednesday as the two sides played out a 0-0 draw.
