I have INTC, AVGO, NVDA and lots of other Tech exposure, it was nice to bounce back. The first week of August was very strong overall following a weak July. Just have to hope it keeps up. I have hit my invested amount goal for SpaceX after buying some more during the dip. While I am a...

I never once insulted you. You started out with “Elon Fan Boys” and brought up Trump, not me. I am keeping politics out of this. So no bet then?

I never said they were the same, I said everything AI touches was down, no matter how large, small, new or old. The entire sector was getting hit, it has bounced back since, including SpaceX having nearly a 16% return on Friday. SpaceX will be volatile for a while just like Tesla was (which...

Tell you what, I am so confident that in 10 years SpaceX we will look back and see that it outgained the S&P 500 over the same period that I am willing to bet you $1000. If I am wrong and SpaceX flops I will give to whatever charity you name, if I am right you will give to the charity I name...

    Retirement Planning Thread

Some days retirement can’t come soon enough. I still have over 2 years left. Financially I am ready and mentally I am ready, I just need to wait until I am fully eligible for my pension.

Everything Tech related is down, anything that touches AI is getting hammered in the market. Meta, Intel, Nvidia, Google, Apple, Broadcom, Microsoft etc this isn’t an isolated SpaceX problem. If it were isolated to this one company I might be a bit concerned but nothing has changed my feeling...

    SpaceX

Nearly every IPO is rocky, SpaceX isn’t for the trader it’s for the long term investor. It’s going to be bumpy for a couple of years, some analysts are projecting an $800 target next year while others are projecting the mid $60 range. It’s going to be all over the place before it settles in to...

That wasn’t his fault, he was 14 and playing at the level of the U20’s, the problem was didn’t progress much beyond that, he was just physically ahead and dominated but then everyone else continued to grow and he didn’t. I think the US learned their lesson about overhyping a kid like that again.

It’s not even about losing I am just so disappointed in the performance tonight. Now I am cheering for either Norway or England to win it all.

I used to follow the U17s and U20s really closely but I don’t anymore, so I am not even sure what youth is waiting in the wings.

The only other GK blunder I can remember even close to that crap is Guzan handling the ball outside the area and getting a straight red but that was the Gold Cup. Straight up trash.

I’ve watched every US WC game since 1990 and that blunder by Freese might be the worst GK flub ever.

Very disappointing, unorganized on defense, poor & timid passing when in possession. I don’t even know what sub the coach should make because I really can’t point at one player that is playing poorly because nobody is really playing well.

The good thing is that Balogun obviously still trained with the team during his suspension with the idea that should we advance he is available in the next match. I am sure it didn’t affect the game plan much from our perspective I guess there was precedence to this, albeit 60 years ago...

Yeah because institutional investors always fall for a niche, it isn’t just retail investors. You are allowing your politics and personal feelings to blind you to how much money he has made for people over the years. Tesla has done about 40 times better than the S&P and that is with 50 & 70%...

Tesla has returned 34,600% since it’s IPO 16 years ago, I’d say he’s delivered to plenty of people who did buy in. It’s more than just a car company. SpaceX to me is a long term investment not something to day trade. It’s not profitable now but it will be in a couple of years.

The Belgians are pissed. The red card should never have happened but I can’t think of an instance of overturning a suspension in a major tournament like this before. Guess we got some “home cooking”

I like this idea but maybe Berhalter for Reyna, I think Berhalters motor and toughness would be a perfect match for what we expect from the Belgians. I am really hoping Berhalter gets a chance in the Championship after the tournament. He needs to move beyond MLS and I am not sure he is ready...

That Balogun red card was a result of the consistent and over the top whining by the Bosnian manager for the entirety of the match. There is absolutely no other explanation for it. Can't cry over spilled milk, so we have no choice but accept it & move on. I assume Pepi starts, I actually...

That was a tough and ugly win but we’ve seen in this tournament that the knockout rounds are not easy for a lot of the favorites. That free kick by Tillman was just a thing of beauty.

Yeah, Weah was the worst player on the field yesterday. He was so much better 4 years ago and it isn't like he got old all of a sudden, he is still in his prime--I don't get it. Defense was disorganized but that is sort of what I expected. On a positive Berhalter was great, non stop motor and...

The US avoided any sort of significant travel for their first knockout game, they play in the Bay Area, they also get to play a third place team. They also get the opportunity to protect from any yellow card suspensions and rest key players in the third match. Things are really lining up in...

Yeah, I would expect a few changes against Turkey to protect against yellow card accumulation and let players like Pulisic get 100% for the knockout rounds. 6 points and a +5 goal differential is nice to have after 2 matches.
