Do or die time for ASU baseball 2015

Tough loss in the 14th to Fullerton last night. Hate to see a winning run walked in. That means a possible two games today: first a must-win against Pepperdine, then a must-win against Fullerton. Funny, but I think I make have been through more heartbreaking losses with ASU baseball than any...

    Woj: Love to Cavs

Woj reports the Love/Wiggins deal is done. Didn't see it anywhere here yet: feel free to delete if I'm duplicating. https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/497371259916005376

    Zach Lowe Q&A with Hornacek

    Tanking

For some perspective on tanking for Wiggins, here's the breakdown on which records have ended up with the #1 pick on the draft lottery: Worst record 4 times (including 1 tie) 2nd worst record 4 times 3rd worst record 7 times (including 1 tie) 4th worst record 1 time 5th worst record 5...

OT: Bryan Colangelo out as GM in Toronto

http://www.sportsnet.ca/basketball/nba/teams/toronto-raptors/grange-colangelo-remains-raptors-president/ Rumors before the announcement were that he was out as president too, and allegedly being offered another executive position in Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. I think the assumption...

    Kolb = Feeley theory

Apologies if this has been posted, but it made me laugh. http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/11/04/week-9-matchups-identifying-the-best/ "Rams quarterback Sam Bradford (high ankle sprain) is out of his protective boot and working out, though A.J. Feeley may get one more start on...

OT - Big 12 negotiates with TCU

Now TCU replacing A&M in the BIG 12 actually makes sense. But the whole thing is getting more ridiculous by the day, with the Big East as a pit stop for TCU and Syracuse leaving for the ACC. It's almost like they should roll everything back to a few years ago, and then have one big fantasy...

    With a 10-win season...

...Whiz ties Coryell for the franchise lead in wins. I know we discussed this a season or two ago, but after last year it's just taken a little longer to get this close. Short of a total bust this year and a Whiz firing, seems likely that we'll see it in at least 2012. :stick: C'mon Kolb, how...

Razzano on Gabbert, Newton, and Locker

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ms-silver_rogue_scout_enjoys_label_042511 I didn't see this posted, so feel free to merge if it has. An interesting read: down on Gabbert and Newton, up on Locker. Also some comments on the pitfalls of the Cardinals drafting philosophy. From the...

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AsmDrvFWKlVT33g9JJw0r0y8vLYF?slug=mc-spears_kings_last_game_in_sacramento_041411 I thought I'd seen a thread on this before but couldn't find it. As we all know, last night may have been the final Kings game in Sacramento. Unfortunate, in my opinion. I...

    Sun Devils: New Uniforms, etc.

Just wondering if anyone here has any concrete info on the April 9th announcement? From what I've heard and read, it could encompass everything from the SDS renovation/replacement, the futures of Packard/Sun Angel/Karsten, the Olympic Village plan, as well as a rebranding of the athletic...

Is the pressure on the Niners?

Just reading this article on AccuScore concluding that the Niners have a 70% chance of winning the division, while the Cardinals have a 19% chance. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AuD56EtVsqr3IWQs4XdsMchDubYF?slug=ys-accuscore090810 Most experts are picking the Niners, as are the...

    OT: Tuscon?

Has anyone noticed that the Hyundai ad on the ASU forum page is spelling Tucson wrong? The banner ad at the top of the thread page has it right...otherwise I'd think there was a conspiracy going on ;) Edit: now it's on the main forum page. Sneaky little bugger.

    Esiason drives me nuts

Just needlessly referred to the Cards as the "awful Arizona Cardinals" [emphasis on awful] when talking about the Saints' path to today's game. I don't know. I generally don't complain about people in the media and always refrain from calling them morons every time they say something against the...

    OT: I don't get LeBron

For someone whose persona is so carefully scripted, why does he keep leaning on this "I'm a winner" line? After playing at the Garden last night, he was invariably asked about coming to New York, and he trotted it out again. I mean, the NBA, Nike, and the networks have all made us fully aware of...

    Should the Pac-10 expand?

Couldn't find another thread on this, so apologies if it's been discussed. What do you think? Should the Pac-10 expand to 12 teams (with a championship game?), and if so, which two? I agree with many that if it happens, it's crucial to keep the rivalry and traveling pairs in place. That's a...

    I miss the old uniforms

The new ones are fine despite having a few unnecessary elements, but whenever I catch the Raiders or the Colts I really miss the simplicity of our old uniforms. Somehow the gray facemask is looking great on the Colts helmet as well. Maybe it's becasue our record hasn't changed much

    Warner & Trent Green?

Just wondering if anyone thinks we may see a rebound from Warner similar to Trent Green's in KC. A protracted absence followed by another shot in a potent offense in a wide open division. Green isn't Manning, but he's completed over 60% of his passes in KC and is a good field manager. Warner...

    Ricky Williams interview

Apologies if there's already been a discussion, but did anyone see the 60 Minutes interview? Personally, I think it was conducted rather poorly. Why I'm sick of Brady, Delhomme, and Roethlisberger

I really respect the success these three have had, but I think we've reached a state of unbelievable fickleness when it comes to the QB. Only a few years ago, NFL starts would not have been treated with the same trial and error that they are now. Couple that with Green's history of QB...
