Trading back is our only real option

I think if we can trade back into the top of the 2nd, it wouldn't be a bad option. They were talking today on Sirius about a possible scenario of Dallas trading back into round 1 with a team like us. I wouldn't mind Dallas's 2nd and 4th (or 3rd) for #29. Otherwise, we stand pat and choose BPA

A theory to the Cardinals approach to the draft...

If they are going to draft a QB, I personally, would like to see them trade down to make the selection in round 2-3. In several mocks, they have Lynch going in mid first round.

    Karlos Dansby cut....

I agree that we would make this defense better. However, we have paid him plenty of money over the years. If it truly is his time to "go chase a ring" as he said, then he can come and do a hometown deal with us on the cheap.

Big trade with patriots - Cooper for Chandler Jones

Yes, he is a little bit of a head case, so there is some risk. However, with Cooper being in the doghouse and not really playing anyways, this seems like a risk worth taking for a 2nd rounder. Especially when many people on here were willing to trade away two 1st's for a proven pass rusher.

Raiders sign Chiefs CB Sean Smith

At this point, with the ridiculous amounts of these contracts, I think the Cards are doing the right thing in waiting it out. As much as it pains me to see these guys get signed, when I see the contact amounts I say no way are they worth that.

    OT: Dolphins just got dumber

That's what I saw also. Other than taking on the contracts, the Fins seemed to get the better end of that trade. They basically traded down 5 spots and picked up two pretty good complimentary players (Kiko has the potential to be very good depending on health and Maxwell was never a #1 corner)...

How far up would we need to trade in order to really get an impact pass rusher?

I don't think there is any sure fire pass rusher. Why would we give up so much just to get the #18 pick. I would rather overpay in free agency and pick the BPA at #29 and/or the second round. Impact players can still be drafted in the late first. The Pats selected Chandler Jones in the 20's.

Season ticket prices on the rise

I actually like the "dynamic" pricing. It makes the face value of the ticket more realistic, especially if you have to sell/trade. If I can't go to a game, I usually try and sell for about face value to other Cards fans. Some games are worth less (preseason) than average and some are worth a...

    Congrats to John Elway

The sad thing is, many of us Cardinals fans have been calling for our front office to step up and bolster the pass rush for many years. Don't get me wrong, I think Kiem is light years better than anything we have had in recent years but I just don't get how the FO seems to drag it's feet on some...

    Honey Badger Does Care

Yeah, just like that "affluenza" teen has a disease, right?. Let's just feel sorry for them and sweep everything under the rug. These kids are raised this way and should be called out or "hated" on. The problem is, there are some kids who will actually look up to Manzeil and what to be like him...

    Honey Badger Does Care

What Johnny dumbass is addicted to is being a spoiled little brat. Unfortunately his silver spoon upbringing never allowed him to be taught the meaning of consequences. He is too selfish to think about how his action affect anybody else. I hope he is out of the league after Cleveland dumps him

    Ken Stabler

To me it's basically a job hazard. These guys choose to play this game. They are not forced into it. Make them sign a waiver when they enter the league, saying they are aware of the dangers and possibility of long term effects. The argument has always been that the players didn't know it was...

Will 2016 be Larry's Last Season?

I really don't see Larry hanging it up after next season. I wish he would take a hometown deal to stay a couple more years until retirement but I know he would command much more money on the open market.

    GREAT season...disappointing end...

It was a great season, all things considered. I think my wife was more angry yesterday than I was. I told her this season was a lot more enjoyable that most years. I definitely think there was something wrong with Palmer physically since that regular season GB game. He had a horrible game, no...

    Are the Cardinals Too Nice?

I agree to a point. There was a time in yesterday's game where I said the defense needs to start putting some hits on Cam (win or lose). I'm not saying be dirty but they need to show some self respect for the team. I hate to see Cam standing back there smiling and skipping around after a big...

    Dear Larry:

I love Fitz just as much as the next guy but he had several bad drops also. This was a team stinker. I don't think anyone is exempt from criticism (except maybe David Johnson).

I'm trying my hardest to look at the bright side...

The team does still have a solid core. The biggest issue with this team is the same issue they have had for several years: No Pass Rush. Which is why I was so pissed we picked DJ Humphries in the 1st round. They need to upgrade the pass rush and get a true #2 CB.

    Superbowl trip

I agree. First and foremost, we need to win Sunday. I'm waiting until that happens to get serious. I have never been to a Superbowl (other than when I was living in Tempe and the Super bowls were in town). A lot of things would have to fall into place for me to go (i.e. being drawn for tickets...

    Cardinals injury update 1-21-16

Did anyone see how agitated Calais was at the end of the game when they took out Frostee and put in Stinson? They called a timeout and CC came towards the sideline yelling and pointing at one of the coaches. To me it seemed as if he was pissed that they subbed Frostee out.

    Emptying the playbook

I would like them to take a deep shot on the first play of the game. Like they did in Philly (the one John Brown dropped and would have been a TD). I have been laughing at talk radio this week. After Fitz's big game, everyone thinks if they shut him down, they can control our offense. Kurt...

Arians: Cards O-Line "getting their a-- kicked"

Other than continuity, I still can't understand how Larsen keeps his job (as a starter). He always seems to be the guy standing around or whiffing on a block when a play gets blown up.

    Divisional Playoffs Heroes and Goats

I never thought there was a drop-off in Fitz's game. He was being underutilized at first by BA. It was almost like they were trying to phase him out of the offense until they realized he still had a lot of game left in him. I kind of feel the same about Ellington. Yes, he is often injured. But...

    Divisional Playoffs Heroes and Goats

I agree completely. I was expecting with 2 weeks to prepare, that there would be some added wrinkles in the offense. I was expecting a larger role for Ellington.

    Divisional Playoffs Heroes and Goats

That's the point. 7 snaps is not enough to consider ineffective. I was actually calling for him to be used more, since he seemed quicker to the hole. GB is a pretty fast defensive team. Being underused is not the same as being ineffective. It was only a couple of years ago that people were...

    Divisional Playoffs Heroes and Goats

How many snaps did Ellington have in this game? It did not seem like he was involved much from what I remember.
