Assuming Brissett is the Best QB Option

According to Todd McShay, the 2027 quarterback class is talent rich and deep. The problem is that unless a kid's going to be top ten pick they're going back to school for the money. The Cardinals need to thank Brissett for his services and hand the ball to Carson Beck. If Beck shines then...

For Those Losing Their Minds Over the Love Pick...

With a top three pick you take a quarterback, offensive tackle or edge rusher. None of the available players at those positions were deemed worthy of being drafted third overall which is probably why the Cardinals were unable to trade down. I would've reached for Kadyn Proctor.

    3rd pick in draft

Sure looks like quarterbacks going 1-2-3. But I hate to put a rookie quarterback in a room with Kyler Murray.

League-Wide Injuries Have to be Addressed

It's a catch-22 situation. The best way to physically attune a body to the rigors of playing football is to play football. But playing football is where the injuries occur.

    Worst loss in Franchise History?

It was Week 1. That loss has stuck with me for over a quarter century.

    Worst loss in Franchise History?

August 31st, 1997 - the Cardinals lead 21-3 entering the 4th quarter. They lost 24-21 to the Jeff Blake led Bengals.

    Clean House- K1, JG, MO

I'm all for moving the team. Treating symptoms doesn't address the root disease which is Bidwill ownership. We hoped things would be different under Michael, but they aren't.

We Just Lost To Kliff Kingsbury

Not only are the Cardinals still paying him, but they gave him on the job training. So unlike when he joined the Cardinals, Kliff now understands that in the NFL you need a quarterback who puts the work in on the mental side of the game rather than one who goes home and plays video games.

    R I S E ___ U P ___ D A R K ___ S I D E (2024)

The teams now spend the first quarter of the season accomplishing what they used to get done in training camp and preseason games.

Season Starts TOMORROW: What's your record prediction??

The Cardinals overachieved by beating three playoff teams last year on route to their four win season. They are paying the price for years of substandard drafting. Wish they had gotten Kenny Pickett instead of Desmond Ridder.

Cardinals at Browns gameday thread 11-5-23

Does Vegas have a line on the Cardinals reaching 100 yards of total offense? I'd go under, but they might sting some first downs together in garbage time.

    No Clue

The parity that comes from the salary cap has been negated by unusual circumstances. The Cardinals have jettisoned a bunch of veterans brought in by the previous regime which has not only left them talent deficient, but created an unusually large amount of dead money. Then injuries have cost...

    Breakup the Cards

I feel positive that the Cardinals would have won if Colt McCoy was playing quarterback. When your team loses, the quarterback is first in line for blame and Cardinals have insured that they have blame worthy quarterbacks.

    Cardinals sign OT Jackson Barton

I'm not sure the Cardinals have Beachum inked in as the starting right tackle. At 34 he signed for backup journeyman numbers with incentives. https://overthecap.com/position/right-tackle

Bears Trade #1 Pick to Panthers

Would Gannon prefer a larger defensive end for his 4-3 defense? That would mean Tyree Wilson or Myles Murphy rather than Will Anderson.

    Cards Trade Down Scenario

Unfortunately the rest of the NFL is joining Harry on the Anthony Richardson bandwagon. That brings another quarterback into the mix which lowers what the Cardinals can demand. But I still believe a future 1st should be in play as well as a 2nd in the current draft.

A New Thought - Trading 2nd Rd Pick?

If a team is moving up for a quarterback, their 2024 1st is probably going to be a top ten pick.

    Snakester…Harry… HELP!

I'm having a hard time envisioning the Cardinals signing Payton and giving him full control. You have to assume that Keim and Kingsbury had partially guaranteed contracts so they are on the books for four more years. That is a lot of money coming out of Mike's pocket. And on the control side...

If We Trade #3 - What would you take?

The best thing that can happen for the Cardinals would be for quarterbacks to be taken first and second with Levis being one of them. That adds a future first to what Cardinals can demand for the third pick. I've flip flopped on my position. I'm now in favor of trading down multiple times...
