RIP: Glen Hansard (1970-2026)

Sadly, killed in a motorcycle accident in Dublin earlier today. He had a long career as a member of the Irish group The Frames, and as a solo artist over the last 20 years or so. He is most well known in the US for his work in the films "The Commitments" and of course, "Once."

I was lucky enough to see him open for Pearl Jam at Wrigley Field a couple years ago. Falling Slowly remains one of my favorite all time songs.

Ah man...that's so sad. I wasn't familiar with his music, but i really enjoyed the film, Once.

Falling Slowly was a song that always hurt in the best ways... now it will hurt in the worst as well.
