Would be nice if we could get another 2/3 of an inning out of E-Rod. Maybe more?

He's only at 78 pitches... Given the state of the state in our pen, I can see Torey allowing E-Rod to get above 100 pitches if he's still rolling!

Ideally, in a perfect world, they would be put on ice for the next few weeks. But we just don't have that luxury...

What is sad is they are up 3-0 and we know if Sewald does pitch in the 9th, we would not feel comfortable unless they were up 6-0. That is sad because a closer is someone who we should feel comfortable when pitching with a 3-0 lead.

We picked up Garcia in the Naylor traded with the Mariners... Even though we became the worst team in the majors at First Base, I think in the end we will have won in this trade, as Garcia is nasty!

I think he and Morillo would make a terrific left/righty closer option!

On the post game interview, Torey said ERod lobbies for 120 pitches after the 7th. Torey told him 105-110 max...and he stuck with it.

Just my opinion, but I believe the pitch count is overrated. There are many variables that come into play.
