He's only at 78 pitches... Given the state of the state in our pen, I can see Torey allowing E-Rod to get above 100 pitches if he's still rolling!Would be nice if we could get another 2/3 of an inning out of E-Rod. Maybe more?

Ideally, in a perfect world, they would be put on ice for the next few weeks. But we just don't have that luxury...Will Thompson or Sewald pitch today?
Sewald is a wanted man?xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
I think he and Morillo would make a terrific left/righty closer option!Diamondbacks win and take the series! I would keep Garcia as the closer until he shows he cannot be.
I said nearly...They blew the lead... not the game.![]()
On the post game interview, Torey said ERod lobbies for 120 pitches after the 7th. Torey told him 105-110 max...and he stuck with it.105 pitches after 8 innings, I would let him finish it. If not, I would rather see Ginkel or Carrillo pitch the 9th.
Just my opinion, but I believe the pitch count is overrated. There are many variables that come into play.On the post game interview, Torey said ERod lobbies for 120 pitches after the 7th. Torey told him 105-110 max...and he stuck with it.
