Maybe but I really think we'll find his best comp in the pre 2000 NBA when his style and physicality were more the norm.

Not pre 2000, but how about Thaddeus Young as Peat's (future) comparison?

It's way, way too early to say much of anything about Peat one way or the other. Summer league doesn't mean squat. It's good that he didn't look out of his depth in the SL, but that's a long ways from confirming anything about his future in the league.

Summer League is too early to predict his future. It's also an indication he's not going to be a bust the way he played. A D grade? Really? Also, when many analysts say he dropped further than they thought, etc. Pretty sure he's not going to be a bust, or a "D"' level player.

I think we got the "D" because of the pick we surrendered more than the player we targeted. Although I don't know what Peat will become, I'm confident he's worth far more than 3 second round picks. But I have no idea if he'll make up for the value we gave up in that future pick.

I'm not disagreeing. I'm saying it more in reference to anybody going on about how the Suns knocked it out of the park because he's assured of being an all-star or (even a starter) based on a few SL games.
