Free agent center Jock Landale intends to sign a one-year, $14 million deal to return to the Atlanta Hawks, sources tell ESPN. Landale had a strong finish after being traded to the Hawks, averaging 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds last season, and his agents Sammy Wloszczowski and Mike Lelchitski of SIG Sports finalized the deal Tuesday.

Man good for Jock. Enjoyed his time here

I'd be shocked if Ayton were out of the league in a year.

It's more I look at what a player can do first.
What he can do, and what he actually does on most nights are two wildly different things.

Yes we all know he can be a top 5 center - he just puts forth that effort 1 night out of 20.

He's a pot head that simply doesn't care enough.

The Lakers was his last chance to turn it around. He had everyone pumping him up - insanely so, and that lasted for about a month. By mid season they were sick of him. There are people that just never get it, he is clearly one of them. If he was going to turn it around, it would have happened by now.

He may not actually be out of the league next year, but he certainly won't be a starter. No team is going to sign him and trust him for that role given his track record. I am of course assuming he fails again in Washington, which I think is a damn good bet.

Sometimes people don't change but sometimes they do. I've seen enough of the latter that always gives rise to hope.

If Ayton can be a top 5 center, when he puts out the effort, there is the hope. However, he cannot be paid like one.

Ouch. Luka being an a-hole there, unless everyone was tired and had enough by then.

The NBA Moratorium ends at 12 noon ET today. That means agreed-to trades and signings can start being made official this afternoon.

Best way to know a move is official: When the teams post about it on social media.

14-17m per year seems now the new going rate for top PFs around 30 years of age

Jonas wants to return to Europe so whether we could afford him doesn't make much of a difference.

This is what I heard earlier as well. Still, I read he was an option for the Warriors. Media speculation can be all over the place.
