Yeah, that tweet is a little silly. Jimmer couldn't stay in the NBA. Nash was a very good player for many years before coming back to Phoenix. Those two should not be used in the same sentence, in my humble opinion.

Jeez guys that tweet was obviously not meant to be taken seriously.

I was going to make a similar joke but I couldn't bring myself to compare Jimmer to Nash. After seeing the reception that tweet got I'm glad I didn't go that route. Of course tone isn't conveyed well in text. I'd like to think no one is really upset over that tweet.

Here’s another one.

On a side note....2011. Wow where has time gone!

This same thought went through my head - but yeah it is pretty unlikely.

But I have to say, his China highlights are pretty good.

Really I cannot see how he cannot be better than Crawford.

Chambers makes a good point about Fredette in pregame before the Pistons game.

The game has changed defensively which should further help his offensive game.

I was up at Lake Tahoe for the celebrity golf tournament the year Jimmer was drafted by Sacramento. No idea why he was playing. I actually got to ask him a question. I was surprised he was playing because I did not know he golfed. I asked him something about if he golfed as well as he played basketball, and he said something like I guess we'll find out. He seemed friendly and genuine to me. In fact, whenever I saw him he had a smile on his face and seemed like a happy guy. I am surprised to see comments that he's not friendly. I got the impression that whoever ran the tournament was a Kings fan, and wanted to get the new kid up to Lake Tahoe. I don't remember what he shot. I didn't watch him play that I remember.

Yay.

Pretty damn sure Jimmer Fredette couldn't lick Steve Nash's boots.

Why couldn’t he?

Nash doesn't wear boots.

If Nash did wear boots, as a alternate universe soccer superstar, they'd be made of gold.

You don't like gold, you bite it.

In all seriousness though, any other soccer fans on here? I love Nash, but TNT using him as their go-to analyst for Champions League soccer feels really patronizing. "Hey idiot Americans who know nothing about soccer, here is a guy you do know to break down a sport you don't!"

It's official Jimmer Fredette becomes a Sun and he will wear number 32.

Well, there is one thing the guy can do, and that is shoot. This team needs shooting. Can't see him as anything more than a 9-12th man. Team option for next year, so this is basically a 10 game tryout.

He can flat out score in general. I wouldn't be shocked if with the right opportunity he put up something close to 20 PPG. The question will be whether or not his defense will be passable enough that he won't give up more points than he produces.

His defense cannot be worse than Crawford's.

Let's just let him go for it for these last games. Feed him. Let him dominate the ball and get 30 points a game or something. Then we can use him as trade bait this summer in a package for what we really want.

How do they compare to the 38-year-old Stephon Marbury's China highlights?

Very favorably. But to be fair Marbury is 12 years older than him.

So here he is against the rockets in preseason this year - 41pts 9 reb

Here he is scoring 75 - 40 pts in the 4th quarter
