I wouldn't want it banned, but I think that the defense should be allowed to leap over the O-line like the Commanders tried to do or something else that doesn't egregiously break a rule. The defense has a tough enough job as it is.
I'm just grasping at straws about getting a 'better' draft pick, really. No one really knows if a 15th overall pick or a 17th overall pick will be better anyway. It took me two hours to get to sleep with my brain replaying that last play from offense, so I'm looking for any aluminum lining right...
The ending reminded me of the loss the Cards had against Green Bay on Thursday night back in 2021. At least I can rationalize the higher draft pick to minimalize the pain on this one.
Did anyone else like going for it on 4th and 2 in OT? I liked the call, knowing Carolina would be able to at least get in field goal range; which they proved when they did have to punt shortly after.
