Per NBA: All-Summer League 1st and 2nd teams were "selected by a vote of all 30 NBA teams based on performance at Summer League in Las Vegas." So, got two questions.Based on performance, should Khaman Maluach made 1st team (made 2nd team) and Koa Peat made 2nd team? #Suns

Fully agree with the emphasis on setting hard screens. From MW to Oso and KM, our centers tend to avoid contact while setting screens, which makes the opposing defenders job easy. IIRC, Maluach's stats were better.
Yes, and he's a much better prospect. Yaxel was the best player on the team that won it all, so pretty sure that is why he got the accolades.

I noticed he wasn't getting a lot of blocks, because guys were not shooting against him. He made guys in the paint pass it out, a LOT. It was weird seeing a rookie get that much respect on defense. No one tried to back him down and abuse him defensively, like a Charles Barkley used to do to rookie centers. Maybe it's just the times, and there aren't that many bully ball centers anymore.

He was. He'd use that butt the same way Shaq used his in LA and they were both nearly unstoppable as long as they didn't piss off a ref.
My favorite was when players tried to back Barkley down. I luv’d when they fell on their ass
