Roster move:
The Diamondbacks have recalled RHP Juan Burgos from Triple-A Reno.
LHP Philip Abner has been sent down.
Abner threw over 40 pitches last night, as did Drey Jameson. The Diamondbacks needed a fresh arm and Burgos can throw multiple innings if needed.

Why do the DBacks do this every time? I’m not a big fan of firing coaches but something in this organization is sour! Is it Tory? Maybe it’s the hitting or pitching coach. This team seems to also lacks a couple of leaders. How do you come back and beat the Cardinals and follow it up with 2 runs against the A’s?

LHP Kohl Drake will make his MLB debut tonight for the #Dbacks
Drake, 26, was acquired last July from TEX for RHP Merrill Kelly
He was lights out in AA, but has struggled in the PCL.

A's LHP Jeffrey Springs' 7 starts prior to last nights game:

Prior Arizona's hit barrage in the 6th inning they managed 3 hits (1 XBH) and 1 BB in 5 innings off Springs.So goes the '26 #Dbacks

Their SP in the first game had an ERA of 6+...didn't help the Dbacks. They were thoroughly whipped and eviscerated by a double-A club.
