Very harsh. It looked bad on replay but Balogun was not doing anything careless and certainly not intentional. Balogun might have also been fouled. The refs have let rough play go in this World Cup.

There’s a couple issues here. They are going to have to get some luck to win this game. Beyond that, if they do win Balogun will miss the next one and that really sucks. He’s been their best player. I think the USA might need to make changes and turn this game somehow. Get Bosnia to get a man sent off.

ok i feel alot better now - waited to walk the dog until after the game - which turned into a victory parade

stopped by my maga neighbor's house (swear to god) and showed him the pic i took in his front yard

he didn't know we were playing soccer today til i told him but he was happy to hear usa had won - the pic had faded on my phone while i was talking so i refreshed the screen and he had a real genuine appreciation for it

world cup

This team has handled adversity well.

There was a lot of complaining before the world cup about Tim Ream, but he and Richards have been nails at the back.
Yes! They have really made it possible for our team to play with the ball. And they rarely make mistakes defending or with the ball at their feet. Adams as well. That guy put on a clinic today.

I think Belgium is a good matchup for us. I have to say the way we played after going a man down was maybe the best I have ever seen from a US squad. Absolutely nails.
Yeah for sure. They were still better than Bosnia a man down. The one touch passing even in their own end was something that no USA team could ever do before. They just look very comfortable on the ball. And that’s due to all these guys putting in years of work.

And Belgium. I have a lot of respect for them. they are relying on some old players whose glory days are behind them. Idk how to feel other than we have a much better chance of beating Belgium now than we did in the past. I thought 2018 was belgiums shot to win a World Cup. It’s a shame Balogun won’t be there. That was a weak red card and not in any way proportional to the way the ref let so many obvious fouls go.

The announcer I was watching on as soon as he saw the replay he said that's going to be a redcard because on VAR in slow motion it will look bad but in reality it was completely accidental.

Sucks he can't play the next game he's been terrific

That free kick was so good

hey - idk who said it first (in history) but i'm just happy to be here

whatever happens now happens but we fought our ass off to get this far - there was no favoritism in usa vs bosnia - one could and should say it went the other way
