Kind of a cool story and very refreshing. There's been a bunch of talk on UCLA boards about how Dent disappeared, G League couldn't get ahold of him, skipped invites from NBA teams for workouts etc I was worried he might be having issues. Turns out he just is a smart kid, 22 said he put away most of his NIL money and decided he wants to be with his GF and his family and doesn't want to spend years overseas chasing an NBA dream. If he changes his mind he can always come back but he wants to be a trainer. Will play with an ex UNM team in the TBT tournament and then he's becoming a full time trainer, wants to look at getting into coaching too.

So I guess there is a good side to NIL too, he is able to do something like this because of NIL

Cronin sucks the life out of players

Not even close from what Dent is saying. he saved most of his NIL, his GF is in medschool and he wanted to be near her instead of overseas somewhere.

Look at Tyger, 2nd stint in Germany now, played in France, played in Australia, and combined hasn't made a third of what Dent made in one year NIL at UCLA.

I think Dent isn't going to be the only guy who does this. He's going to play TBT with a group from UNM and then he's doing camps and trainer, if you see the footage from the camp he had last weekend kid was living his best life. He's been pretty clear had nothing to do with Cronin he just doesn't want to spend years away from home chasing an NBA career

Lot of issues with Mick I suspect this is his last year at UCLA, but Dent isn't on him kid just has other ideas
