Not seen much of Murray (suggested with Zion for Booker and Rolls Royce). What type of player is he?

Did Zion play with Brooks already? Can he reach him (on the astral plane)?

Just saying this from a pure basketball aspect, aside from injuries and mental instability, Ja's skills are better than Green's skills. Ja's basketball IQ is way better. I acknowledge all the downsides, but just comparing skills versus skills, Ja wins you games way more consistently than Green. All that said, I would rather hang onto Green.

You haven't seen what injuries have done to Ja. Green has helped contribute to more wins than Ja and is a better shooter. Ja is declining really fast.

Green for Zion straight up? It would probably help in the short run if the training staff can keep Mount Zion healthy. It will help the starting five and our problems vs bigger teams. Hopefully it will open up on the outside because Green is one of the few guys on the team that can get a quality shot (when he drives to the hoop).

I wouldn't trade Green for Morant but if the right trade come along, I'd definitely think about it.

If only someone could find the key. I think there is more to work with than Ayton.

If I were to gamble, I'd go with Zion way before Ja. We need size. Not that he's a great rebounder though.

Ja's salary would put us in hell again. Even Gambo says it makes no sense.

Probably the same as rumored last offseason with Randle, DiVincenzo, and picks. Not exactly enticing. They don't have a lot to offer.

Not chicken feed either although that is surprisingly expensive these days. Wink.

Saw a rumor that the Grizzlies might be willing to throw in the third pick to get rid of Morant. I don't know if there's anything to that other than random rumor mongering, but would that change anyone's opinion about a Morant trade?

Then we need to ship out a big contract. Jalen Green, Grayson Allen plus change for Ja Morant and #3? Then Book can play SG and Collin come off the bench. We can take Dybantsa, Boozer or Wilson.

i don't think we'll make sacrifices to acquire ja morant - if he lands in our lap cool we'll figure something out but if not funk off

but the 3rd pick in the draft.... :?::!:

oof - that changes everything - morant's contract will be offset by the #3's rookie contract - it makes the money somewhat work where it didn't at all before

i don't think it's just the weed talking here but i can't see why memphis would give up ja and the 3rd pick just to get rid of ja morant - i know i wouldn't for anything less than giannis

The offseason is filled with clickbait with nothing going on with most of the teams.

We can dream up fantasy scenarios just as easy as the media and it's free.

They would just waive him before doing that.

While I don't put much stock in it as a rumor, they wouldn't get anything out of it if they waived him instead of trade him, plus they are still on the hook for his salary cap hit.

If they could package him with a pick to some team that thinks he might still have value for any decent assets, that would obviously be a much better move.

They’re well under the apron so there’s no point.

Prediction: Julius Randle is a Sun next year.

Yeah, paying Morant approximately $87 million over the next two seasons makes a good argument for trade as a top priority.

I knew Morant took a step back but didn't realize how far. He only played in 20 games this year and 59 the previous 2 years. That's 79 out of 246 which is 32%. He averaged just 19 ppg last year, which is crazy since they got rid of Bane and JJJ. Morant isn't competing for shots but he's only shooting 41% from the field and 23% from 3pt range. For his career he shoots 47% from the field and 31% from 3.

Major point is he's not who he was. It may cost Memphis to unload him but there's no way they attach the #3 pick to move him. They have #16, which is more realistic but I'd rather not gamble on a Jalen for Ja deal even if we get a pick because it's not likely and Jalen is the better player right now.

We would be on the hook for a horrible contract for Ja, on top of a horrible contract we are paying Beal. That number three would have to be a true franchise player, aka the instant number one guy on our team, to make that even somewhat work.

This is such a tough one for me. I think I do it to, but only because it balances our roster out.
