Have to give MO some credit

He's getting it done sooner than in the past

Also R2 is the one that usually waits for the pay slot to made around this pick

The difficulty with teams signing 2nd round picks started last season when the Texans gave pick #34, Jayden Higgins, a fully guaranteed contract, and the Browns followed suit with #33 Carson Schwesinger. Then other agents near the top of the 2nd round started holding out for the same. Eventually everyone down to #38 TreVeyon Henderson got fully guaranteed deals, while the players taken later did not.

This year, agents are pushing for the full guarantees to extend deeper into the 2nd round. #39 Denzel Boston got his salary fully guaranteed. #40 R Mason Thomas has signed, but I haven't seen whether his contract was fully guaranteed; #41 Cashius Howell hasn't signed a deal yet. Anyone close to the border line between fully guaranteed and non-guaranteed contracts will probably take longer to sign; but once the line is set, everyone else will probably fall into place quickly.

But with the precedent set in 2025 for everyone through at least #38 to get fully guaranteed deals, there was no reason for Ossenfort not to get #34 Bisontis signed quickly. He doesn't deserve any special credit for that... aside from not screwing it up as some past Cardinals teams would have done by refusing to include the full guarantee!
