Devin Booker has the "killer instinct" but he needs some help. Hear Jordan Ott.

Playing Rasheer Fleming is an option. All hands on deck.

bwahahahaha! Devin Booker has a killer instinct? That's hilarious. The best player on the team is supposed to HELP OTHERS not constantly need help himself. In these playoffs/play-in, he hasn't been the best player on the floor for the Suns even once in 4 games and is staring at losing his 8th straight playoff game, all by double digit points. Not to mention he was a key part of two complete and utter collapses, as one of the "leaders" of back to back Suns teams that blew 2-0 series leads, while favored when he had help in the Finals and then against a vastly inferior Dallas team. Dude with a killer instinct doesn't come out and lose by 30 (and be down by 50 AT HOME at some point) in a Game 7 or come back the next year and lose by 30 AGAIN AT HOME to end the next season.

he's got plenty of "killer instinct." He just doesn't have killer talent

his/our problem is that he thinks he's jordan or kobe, but he's not, and he can't be, but he keeps trying, not learning his place/role, and we keep losing

his "killer instinct" is why he says "that's my mfing shot," but his brain hasn't got the focus to pull it off
(or the focus to be consistent at defense)

same reason he recently had 4 open 3pt looks in the crunch-time of 4 games in one month and shot 4 air-balls!

Overreact much? What do you expect him to do when he's double teamed every time he has the ball? Just jack it up and hope? Teammates be damned? Booker is not Kobe, SGA, or Jordan. We know that. You know that. Could he handle double teams better? Probably. Book is a star but not a superstar and if you keep thinking he's going to perform like one, you're going to continue to be disappointed.

me overreact? I never said anything about him being Kobe, SGA or Jordan or expecting him to be. I just think it's hilarious to say Booker's got "killer instinct" especially this season when he's has just been AWFUL in the clutch and mediocre at best in the play-in/playoffs.

also, when people in the media and here keep saying he's a superstar, which keeps happening or make comments like he's got killer instinct and I think those comments are really off-base, they're going to prompt a reaction from me..that's how message boards work.

The overreaction was the over the top laughing. And I understand how message boards work. I'm allowed my opinion too.

Come on, Oso. Get with the narrative! :p

But seriously, badly timed miscalls can absolutely turn the tide of a basketball game. But I agree with his sentiment. I just want a fair fight.

He's paid like a superstar though. Other stars handle double teams a lot better. Book is not getting any younger. He's had some good stretches in the playoffs before. Maybe he had more help then. Maybe officials did not allow grabbing and holding in the same degree. Maybe he's not fully healthy. Anyhow I hope he puts up 30 or 40 before heading out on vacation on some yatch somewhere. Force his will.

Yep, that's why he's getting the scrutiny. Not all 30 teams get a superstar but they all have a highest paid player and they are expected to perform at the highest level on the team. Nope, Book is in his prime. Maybe even past it. He's not getting any better. He is what he is. He's a team player. I don't think he's a "force his will" kind of guy but I get the fans expectations to want more. It's going to be more of the same for the rest of his career here. In fact, probably only go downhill from here.
