on OKC's favorable whistle:

"Every championship team always get the benefit of the doubt... Draymond got away with all the moving screens... D-Wade was able to hand check more than anybody...."

Apologies guys. Even if I think it’s ridiculous everyone is entitled to vent. It’s what game threads are for.
I appreciate that you came to that realization. While you may think it's ridiculous, there are a ton of fans out there that see it differently. OKC, 1-12 are masters of throwing their heads back and/or falling down when there is anything close to contact and the refs fall for it hook, line, and sinker. A couple plays that really stand out to me were the Booker offensive foul call with Caruso defending and then the very next play, SGA doing the same thing on Gillespie but it's called the other way. (Gillespie didn't fall backwards like Caruso.)

Another one was the defensive foul on Oso boxing out Holmgren for a rebound. Holmgren snapped his head back and fell to the ground and now instead of getting the rebound, a foul on Oso is called and the ball goes back to OKC.

I'm really glad that Book called out the refs in this one, fines be damned.

Getting to the playoffs is one thing, being successful in them is another. If the advice he's getting is indeed from Clifford, then I say get him the hell away from Jordan Ott. Because his playoff advice is crap.

I agree. I like Ott having experience to sort of help him navigate certain aspects of the job but it seems since the playoffs were a lock with about a month left in the season that this team lost what made it special. Considering Clifford's lack of success I wouldn't be surprised if he had a hand in some of the changes. The Suns have been way too tentative and that's something you could also say about Clifford's Hornets. He played not to embarrass himself and get his next season picked up more than swinging for the fences. I hope he's not retained this offseason. I can't see the benefit to his presence next season regardless. Ott has experience now.

Goody and Williams coming back?
i don't think williams will play in this series and i hope it isn't a business decision but either way i think he's done as a sun

and by business decision i mean he might be more concerned with healing his foot than he is playing in the playoffs

why you ask? because he's a restricted free agent now and all the interested teams will want a look at that foot - same foot the lakers passed on - same foot that's kept him out of the playoffs

Devin Booker calls a referee out by name. It's going to be interesting.

Btw, I agree with his assessment.

OKC attempted 46.5% of their shots in the paint during the first three quarters of Game 2 and made 67.7% of them (21-of-31). In the fourth quarter, that number fell to 35% of their attempts and 50% (3-of-6)Khaman Maluach played all 12 minutes of the fourth.

I don't think you know the severity
omg bro - it's only the same severity that's kept him out of the playoffs - same severity that started when he started playing back to backs this season - same severity that kept us from extending him - pretty obvious his foot needs the next day off or there's a chance he re-aggravates the condition - it's not an injury it's a pre-existing condition - this is why the lakers passed - talented as williams may be they passed on him due to the severity

We couldn't extend him during the season. The deadline is the day before the season starts. We weren't extending him before we saw him with the team, regardless of his health. We hold all the leverage with his restricted rights. That alone being a point you attempt to raise shows you aren't privy to the inner workings and are floating ideas you created rather than facts.

Book - you've lost 7 consecutive playoff games - gotten your ASS KICKED in almost all of them, losing each one I believe by 10 points or more and I think have been down by at least 20 in 6 of them.

How about you actually show up and focus on getting better yourself instead of begging for the refs to do the same.

freaking baby.

So much better than last season with Durant.

Cool non-sequitir. Durant is a joke this post-season also. They’re like two peas in a pod, together or apart.

And your comment doesnt change the fact that Booker and his team have generally been a disaster in the playoffs losing 7 in a row and instead of looking inward and saying he needs to get better, his focus is on the refs getting better.

Until the star of a team takes care of his own, complaining about anything else is just freaking lame, IMO.
