Nice bounce back win Stars!

I'm still in awe of that check that Collin Blackwell put on Minnesota's Jakov Trenin. That seemed to turn the tide a bit. usually I don't think a check is as big as a goal, but for the Stars I do think it is a big deal. I get the sense that the Wild thought they were going to bully the stars like Edmonton has done the past couple of years. This stars team is a lot more physical than year's past. whether that makes a true difference or not, only time will tell.

It’s an optional morning skate for the Wild but both Mats Zuccarello and Yano Trenin are not on the ice. Both have upper body injuries. The Wild didn’t practice yesterday. It doesn’t bode well for their chances of playing in Game 3 against Dallas tonight.

not a bad idea. I went to bed before some of the games started in round 1 last year and it worked out better for me.

I turned it off after the wild tied at 2. It seemed the wild had all the momentum

yeah, shortly after that it got even worse. the stars had a 5 on 3 powerplay and they failed to score, the wild basically scored as soon as the penalties were over on a poor defensive play by Thomas Harley. But the stars battled back and played a great 3rd period. The first OT minnesota dominated and had two power plays but couldn't score. The second OT dallas had 2 powerplays and the wild goalie kept them alive, but heiskanen and wyatt johnston finally scored on a great tip goal. I think this is the 2nd time in a matter of weeks that the stars have beaten minnesota trailing going into the third. before that minnesota had a ridiculous streak of winning games when leading going into the third.

yeah he's playing great. really has been consistent all year and has improved his physicality.

I guess I'm not surprised that the Avs are up 3-0 on the Kings. the kings can't score goals. but in the games I've watched the Kings are really taking it to the Avs in the physical aspect. Necas is taking some huge hits in that series.

I'm still salty that the Flyers and Pens are playing each other in the first round and then you have the 3 top teams in the west facing elimination in their first 2 rounds. doesn't seem right.
