they'll be in the same exact air - different stadiums but both names forever hung way up there - literally in glory - most fans will appreciate it and them - both homegrown first ballot hall of farmers - same with taurasi
no they won't... and even aren't now. Fitz was one of the greatest players at his position of all time. Booker has barely been one of the best of his position throughout his career.

There's a difference in level of player, not to mention the love each of them has in the Valley. No one throws shade at Fitz. Dude balled out as hard as he could with just atrocity surrounding him for the most part, but any time he got to the playoffs, like the superstar he was, he shined brightest. Booker can't say the same and it's why you have so many fans who didn't want him to sign that extension and wanted him traded.

The only reason he's going to be homegrown for his career is because this team is too sentimental/stupid not to move him like the Hawks did with Trae Young or the Bucks are going to do with Giannis.

The big issue to me is who you want here long term of our actual money guys:

Mark Williams - why? He looked very good in the first half, and very bad in the second. Considering his injury history, I'm not interested in paying him a big deal.

Jalen Green - self explanatory - the opposite of a winning player

Dillon Brooks - wears he welcome out wherever he goes. He's a good player but do you want to commit to him long term?

The problem is not Booker. It's the Suns made that horrible trade for Durant.

Again, check out the bench production. The Trail Blazers bench scored almost twice as many points as the Suns, 33 vs 17.

Green is still too young to write off and is the only one who looked like he belonged last night.

I guarantee you he gets one tonight. Starting fresh with the Ts will be too much freedom for him to handle. What's the over/under? Two minutes into the game? ;)
Well, Brooks made it to the 4th quarter anyways.

It was like deju vu all over again. The Suns can't protect the basket.

If you can't throw quality size at the opponent, at least send more big bodies.

i clearly said most fans - you clearly aren't most fans - booker has the 13th highest selling jersey in the league - for every gripe you have with book nike has 5 new versions of his shoe - the best rappers rap about being like devin booker - you're free to hate him but most fans appreciate him - also because he's a team first player just like fitz - you must have missed the olympics- this is boring cheese

devin booker debate silence starts now - trash away

The top priority needs to be getting green of the roster.

He is an other worldly ball hog and almost everyone around him suffers when sharing the court with him.

I don't know...I see this team having so many unknowns moving forward. Book making 70M per year and not being able to close in year 10 is incredibly disturbing to me.
That was a dumb and unnecessary extension in the moment. They missed an opportunity to trade him last summer when you look at what Memphis got for Bane.

The talent is there, but I don't know that his style translates to winning ball. If we can find the right trade, I'd be for it, but I also wouldn't want us to trade him for peanuts just to get him off the roster.

I think you're confusing marketability with performance. Booker is highly marketable. He's photogenic and dates celebrities. He carries himself with style, and people like to speak well of him. All of that translates into Booker being a good money-maker for the league, for himself, and probably even for the Suns, but it's not the same as being a winner.

Suns season is over. Even if they win the next game they earned an early bounce from the #1 seed. Not that they would beat San Antonio but I felt like there was a shot.

They have zero shot against the Thunder. ZERO.
I would still like them to get the experience though. It will help determine how we should proceed in the offseason.

That T was really bad also. I love what Dillon brings but a technical at that point in a must win game like a play in is idiotic.

Definitely looked like a young team with a rookie coach head coach last night.
They shouldn't have called it. He was clapping for the refs. It may have been sarcastic, but come on.

Book has been a above-average to great regular season player. With physical defenders in a playoff context though, he routinely comes up empty.
This isn't going to get better, we're at the tail end of Book's prime and he's going to lose a step.

Our centers, Oso and Williams combined- 45 minutes, 7 points, 5 boards and 1 point, (50%) from the free throw line.

Booker folded, Ott made some mistakes, and the refs made a bad call or two, but we are going nowhere until the above is fixed.
