The rumor I hear from Chiefs fans in St Louis is if Love goes past the 3rd pick the chiefs will try to trade up for him. Whether they give a kings ransom to the Titans is the question.
Chiefs just gave Kenneth Walker $15M / year, so this seems highly unlikely. They're in a good spot to pick up defensive backs to replace the ones they traded away.

If the Cards draft Reese I’m gonna puke. So a trade down if the Jets take Bailey would make me happy.

Anybody else got a nagging feeling they are gonna pick Bain?
I'm crossing my fingers for it, but I dont think so. We have 6 Buckeyes on the roster already and the Reese is a measurables king. Monti wouldnt be able to resist him if we're on the clock at 3.

Jerry Jones has 2 1st round picks and has been hinting since last off season that he would use those picks to move up in the draft. Nobody loves the spotlight more than Jerry, trading up to 3 for a Micah replacement is too on brand not to happen.

Monti and Jerry will get a deal done, and we will draft Fano at 12.

If we could trade back a few spots and pick up another 2nd and grab Bain I would be okay.

The more I watch Bain the more I like his complete game. I know he has short arms but sometimes you gottta watch the tape.

But I prefer to stick and pick

The period between FA and the draft is like being stuck in an hourglass. Bring on the draft already.
Yes I begin to notice things I never thought of before. Like how Ty Simpson looks like a young Kirk Cousins. Like how Tennessee wants Love so bad but I guess we're not allowed to? How Bain gets pushed down because of his t rex arms. How Cowboys want to fleece the Cardinals but we been kicking Cowboy butt?

And how I'm smart enough to freeze chili and soups so whenever I want I'll reheat and it taste better after the first time? And don't get me started on my Reuben Sandwich I make at home minus the thousand Island sauce , replacing it with Kraft Catalina. Seriously it's a game changer.

My least favorite part of the offseason. Hate mock drafts, mock trades, etc., etc. (almost as much as I hate fantasy football). I know, I know, get off my lawn. LOL

P.S.-You know I love all you guys who love all of those things, right? I admire your research and effort in preparing all of that. It just is not my cup of tea. Just wanted to make sure it was not a jab at anyone else.

I saw a breakdown of Love’s 98 yard touchdown run vs Indiana in the 2024 playoff game. Indiana came in as the #1 ranked rush defense in college football. There was some chirping on the Indiana side about shutting down Love and the ND run game. Love and the ND offense set out to throw a knockout blow right from the start. The way he set up the blocks and then turned on the afterburners on that 98 yard run was amazing! Love has some Michael Jordan/Larry Bird in him. He wants to stomp on the opponent with overwhelming intensity.

Who knows what value all the other teams have on the players at the top of this draft?

For example, we got some QB-needy teams who may grab at QB Simpson if they calculate he is their best chance to correct their QB situation. A team like the Rams---who will probably win enough games this season to be at the back end of next year's draft---may see him as the perfect guy to groom for Stafford's eventual replacement. They are calculating if Simpson is better than any QB in this draft/next draft and so move up to take him.

Other teams may see a guy as the 'missing piece' for their roster. Cowboys have a dynamic O but miserable D---they could envision a given D player as the one to say replace Parson's production and allow them to capitalize on their playoff window with their current O.
This has come up a couple of times with my email groups. I’m told the Rams did an in depth assessment of Simpson and it was mostly favorable. Also keep in mind the Rams historically have been willing to undervalue round 1 picks to get something they want. I’m afraid if the Rams want him I’d let him go. The Cards will have the chance to drop down and still pick before the Rams but I am not confident Simpson would be worth that high a pick. That’s the problem with a high risk QB in a weak pool. I’m going to put up something on 2027 QBs that may shed more light on those options.

People I see on the internet and linear TV say Simpson is a good fit for the McVey/Shanahan offense and cite Brock Purdy. OTOH, MLF says he want a tough QB with prototype size.

Get you popcorn ready.

Reviewing everything so far as I have more miles under me than most. I have my own quote I hope you will understand

"The windshield is bigger than the rear view mirror for a perfect reason"

Grab a blue chipper at #3 then patch some holes. No bs here don't we have some coaches? A great trade down would be at the first pick in rd 3
