Gillespie is simply not worthy of a starting role anymore. Call it the grind of a season, call it whatever. Technically, this is a HUGE jump in minutes for him from previous years. Thanks to injuries mostly, but since everyone is healthy, he's much better on the 2nd unit, and recent games prove that.

I don't think Gillespie was ever projected to be a starter, especially with a small lineup around him but he was thrust into this role because of injuries.

Also the Suns want to keep him when he becomes a free agent. The salaries fitting within the CBA tax apron will make it tricky.

Actually, logically Green should be benched and come in to spell Booker. Start Gillespie and Booker. Then Brooks, Fleming, and Williams. THAT is the recipe for success.

Sure bench our 2nd best offensive weapon and a dude making 35 million a year. That is not realistic at all.

Since green is 24 a better solution is trade Booker who is clearly overpaid and underperforming.

Or play them together till it works, which I actually think it already is.
