everybody's on board playing music and cards having a good time enjoying eachother and the ride

point book

everybody's eating - most are having career years - career years mean job security and more money

point book

everybody's bought in on our defensive identity because of everything mentioned above and they know book's about that life - they watched the olympics too

point book

what we witnessed with monty and our first set of twins was book making everyone around him better - by building personal relationships with teammates and by playing the game the right way

we're seeing the same exact ish right now - we see how it falls apart without book but we also saw an improved team even without book because playing the game the right way becomes infectious

the kd beal years should not be held against book- especially with the ego driven 5 star general coaches that came with'em - no sir but we should be thankful for that data because ott read it like a manual

book could've averaged 30 a game this year if he wanted to - passing just enough to keep the defense off and nobody would've batted an eye because he's our only super star

but he didn't - instead he's passing on high percentage mid range shots - still goes to his spots - still posts up for the turn around but instead hits a teammate for 3

but the way book has shared his precious first quarter with jalen green.. might be one of the most unselfish things i've seen devin do - book has played the entire first quarter with our last 4 coaches and has always been the primary scorer

we saw book share with kd but jalen's no kd - that and we saw what sharing with kd did for us but I digress - because jalen scoring is a necessity for the phoenix suns and therefore devin booker

the "always be ready" group isn't just the guys putting in work hoping to get minutes in the near future - it's the whole team - if book trusts you you're getting the ball - and it seems like all the greats eventually realize this

also watch how book is passing to fleming instead of others for the 3 ball - others meaning multiple assassins who are top 10 in various 3pt categories

Wouldn't have guessed that Otis Thorpe was in the top 95. I know he played a long time but thats surprising.
Otis Thorpe

1,257 games played times an even 14.0 PPG = 17,598 points. 1,257 is a LOT of games played.

Robert Parish
holds the NBA record for the most regular-season games played with 1,611 over his 21-season career. LeBron James is the active leader and closing in on this record. When including playoffs, LeBron James holds the record for most combined games, totaling over 1,890 as of 2025.

I knwq Parish had the record. He stuck around a long time as a bench player. Thorpe was a starter until his last 2 years. That was about 1999 that he moved to the bench. Also a 1 time All-star.

Can you imagine LeBron as a 45-year-old bench player?

I just think he has more pride than that.
I think the ability to extend his playing time is a challenge for LeBron. Arguably, for his age, who has played better? I'm not even a LeBron fan. You have to guy a guy props when they do things uncharted. I have sciatica. That he played this year with sciatica, and barely lost time, I think it's a freaking miracle.
