Tonight's loss sucks, but it was merely the worst of the last year or so.

But... what is the worst of the worst?

For my memory as a fan, the candidates would be game 6 vs the bulls, both Houston game 7s in 94 and 95, game 7 vs Dallas in 2022, game 6 vs the Bucks, game 6 against the Lakers in 2010...

But the one that really gutted me was game 5 against the Bucks. Those 90s losses... I was crushed, but I felt like "we'll get em next year!". But that game 5 against Milwaukee was different, we were still alive in the series, but all the PTSD from my whole life of watching the momentum turn in a crushing way gave me no hope... while also having the understand of how rare the opportunity was.

The 2010 Suns Lakers series game 5. Richardson hits a three to tie the game, Ron Artest makes the put back Off a Kobe air ball to win the game. Oof.

The series that was over before it even started not sure what year it was but the Tim Duncan three to tie the game in Game 1 Suns Vs Spurs.

I want to say it was game 4 of the Boston series 50 years ago but we had so many magical moments in that game that I was still riding the high long after we lost. So it felt more like a great loss than a devestating one.

I guess I'd have to go for a meaningless game that angered me more than any NBA game I can think of. It was the triple OT loss in New York with our favorite cheating ref doing his thing. We couldn't have dominated that game any more than we did but key foul calls kept bringing the Knicks back. We should have won by 40 in regulation instead of losing in triple OT and not a damned thing was done or said about it.

I guess it was game 7 vs Dallas in the 2022 playoffs. The Suns didn't show up for that game. Still don't know why and it led to the breakup of the team.

It still leaves me at a loss for words.

I thought the losses to Houston in the 90's were bad but this really will age like those. We won't know of it's impact on future Suns fans for years but I won't be surprised if that ends up being the first time many of them got gut punched by this franchise.

I know the Milwaukee series before was bad but we were playing then on House money. We weren't supposed to contend let alone make a Finals then. It was a surreal ride. We were built to compete the next year and stronger, more mature, and supposedly ready for the moment.
