Hope none of you were expecting to get a decent head coach.

I am all in on McDermott for the job here, 98-50 regular season record-only 1 losing season & 8-8 in the playoffs. He had a winning season with Tyrod Taylor and Nathan Peterman as his QBs. 27 years experience in the NFL, 9 as a head coach.

I’d take him over Tomlin, McCarthy, Saleh, Morris, Joseph…and any other retread head coaches available.

McDermott would be a great hire. But like Harbaugh probably won’t come toAZ. And him leaving Buffalo just means another more attractive job just opened up.
Could you imagine if he did come to Arizona and could bring in dayball as his offensive coordinator? Also, of the coaches who are available now in this cycle. Who do you think Buffalo considers to be better than Sean McDermott?

2nd interviews for the HC vacancies are happening all over the NFL except for the Cardinals. I guess Monti is on vacation.
Monti reminds me of Rod Graves and molasses. As bad as Keim was at drafting at least he was proactive at times. Monti is the human snail reincarnated.

Im pretty cynical on all this, but the Cards are unique here in that they dont announce what they are doing / have done
Yeah but Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport have been announcing all of the interviews that are taking place. Agents from candidates want this out and tell them.

I was pretty sure that the Titans would hire Saleh, since they moved up their in-person meeting to tonight. The other finalists, Matt Nagy and Jeff Hafley, have been on the market for a while, so I just think they would have hired one of them by now if they wanted. Or, with Hafley it could be because he is close to someone else.

Now I am wondering if they take a little time to consider McDermott. They probably didn’t expect him to become available, and just like with the Cards, he would be a fantastic hire for the Titans.

Oh, and McDermott is not coming to the Cards. Come on, guys.
