This team is bad. Escaped against the lowly Saints and Panthers and have now faced reality very quickly.

Even if they beat the overall worst team next week (TN) that proves nothing.

As other posters have stated, every passing play feel like the hardest and most difficult thing I’ve ever seen.

They only play aggressive when there’s 9 minutes left in the game. Like that’s what it takes to actually throw the ball more than 3 yards??? How different the game might have been if they actually had a plan to attack and play to win the game.

And why can’t the O Line open up any, and I mean ANY running lanes??? Plus 6 sacks is horrible. Meanwhile Darnold was cool calm and collected all game outside one or two plays where we finally got pressure.

Why can’t the defense get off the field when it counts? And how can you not know Njigba is running a route to the sideline when that’s the only thing he’s done all game?

And the call to have Ryland squib kick did cost them the game. I understand lots of plays happened before that play, but you’re wrong JG, that play absolutely was soul crushing and determined the outcome.

The only credit I will give JG tonight is he didn’t come off as cocky and arrogant in the post game presser. He’s obviously rattled and being humbled so I appreciate him not saying ridiculous things tonight, unlike earlier in the week.

He talked about “finding” a way to improve. Translation = They have no idea what works, what doesn’t work, or how to get out of this. By sheer luck maybe they can stumble into a different approach.

my thing is before this year the argument was Petzing is good at the run game and needs to get better in the pass game. Now it appears that was all a combination of the OL coach, Conner, and Kyler. We still ran the ball well tonight but we were behind for so much of the game we only had 17 runs. The run blocking is so much worse this year it sure seems like Petzing wasn't the brains behind the run game.

This team is mediocre!
They beat bad teams and lose to good teams. They are forgettable. Nobody will pay attention to them and they will get no respect. They will continue down this path until Bidwill gets bored with it and makes changes once again. The fans will continue to suffer through this mediocrity.

Who is going to get fired first?
Frye
Petzing
JG
Definitely premature to say fire Frye IMO. We have no idea if he is the run game coordinator or not. One of the best things last year by Adams was his ability to shift blocking schemes are calls to counter what defenses were doing vs the run. I don't know that Frye has that role or even the experience to do so right away.

OL was better, but Conner looked like Bo Jackson at times in 2023 and 2024. There were runs that had no business being big gains but Conner somehow made it work.

PFF (I know I know) was like 90 those two years. Made it all the more worrisome what would have if he falls off or gets hurt. Kyler averaging 7 YPC helped a great deal last year as well.

Drew Terrell.

Passing game coordinator/WR coach. Falcons just fired their WR coach. JG needs to do something. WRs have got worse the last few years.

Frye seems like a miss or maybe just needs time to adjust. Either way Terrell or Petzing should be higher up the blame game right now.

Kyler is almost at 6 this year. Benson is 5.5 with the 2 long runs. But for both guys consistently this year there hasn't been much running room, Conner was averaging 3 YPC and 4.8 per catch, he got a year older yes but I think the runs were because of the OL, mainly the right side, and the pass is because nobody worries about us going over the top so the safeties are sitting right there to tackle the RB on short passes.

Also I didn't hear it but apparently Sherman said last night the Seahawks literally knew our playcalls it's why those 2 audibles to runs got stuffed they knew what we were calling. That's on the OC IMO. That's inexcusable in 2025 in the NFL to be tipping plays

I can't believe that Big P Brain is so predictable. He seems so clever and inventive.
