I think this will force Petzing out of his shell. What we did vs. the 49ers in the second half we could have and SHOULD of been doing all along.
JG keeps talking about chunk plays. Well you can’t have chunk plays without taking shots.
Yea, I noticed that too.

Not sure why the hell the offense finally opened up after JC’s injury.

Tough break for a great dude.

I guess we will see what Benson has to offer now. He dances way too much for my liking, but I'm hoping he will come around.

He's not a polished product yet but I would point out he's averaging 6 YPC on the season in 21 carries. He has to take what's there I get the dancing comment sometimes but we're seeing the big play ability and he's significantly improved from last year in pass pro.

I'm so bummed we lost Conner, it's a big opportunity for Benson and we do need more speed and he's got it, but really wish it didn't come at the expense of Conner

Not gonna matter unless Trey can get open 30 yards down field.

He is a little too boom or bust for me right now. 2 of his carries have accounted for 65% of his yards. On the other 19 carries, he is averaging 2.3 ypc.

The big play element is obviously missing from this offense, so I'm definitely not knocking him for that. I'm just worried about what will happen when he needs to get us a couple yards in a big situation. Conner could be pretty clutch in those situations.

I hate to say this but after 3 games JC just hasn’t been the same as last year. Don’t get me wrong he has been my favorite Cardinal over the last 2 years, but I’m afraid this is the end for him. Great run James and you’ve lasted longer than 90% of RBs. But behind this Oline even you can’t excel. That’s what it’s looked like to me. Probably due to the new Oline coach/scheme.
Funny thing is, after the last 3 game performance, the Connor injury isn’t even my biggest concern. I mean come on, MHJ can’t catch, Kyler gets lost lining up the offense when the play clock is short, Petzing can’t coordinate an offense to win an NFL football game.
This loss stings but we all know something is wrong!

It was always going to come at the expense of JC... the injury suxx but it likely only shortened Conners career as a starter by 6 games or so.
The change was inevitable

A lot of that is situational football and plays called.
There were a couple JC run plays called in the second half where Benson just hit the gap and pushed the pile for 4 yards.
The Petzing usually sends him wide on stretch plays to the overloaded side...everyone in the stadium knows where he is going.
With more time in the backfield his runs will be less predictable
