Watched No Country last night from start to finish for first time in years. That movie is an absolute masterpiece. The performances, tone and writing all stood up to precious praise but what surprisingly stood out was the amount of winks/nods the Coen’s made to to their previous movies that I never noticed before.

That movie mega sucks. It's one of the worst movies I have watched in my life.

I mean these guys really suck. I despise pretty much everything they do. Here are the tolerable movies:

Oh Brother
Hudsucker
Rasing Az
True Grit

The rest is absolute ass. Fargo sucks

We def don’t agree here awesome freaking movie

These are the crap movies everyone else loves:

There will be blood (You will be bored. This movie is so boring and the ending is basically Looney Tunes stupidity. I was waiting for Daniel Day Lewis to be porky pig with a bowling pin to waive it say "that's all folks")

No Country for Old Men (this is my most hated movie of all time. You kill of the protagonist off screen? The villian is mega dumb.)

The Departed. Yay everyone is terrible.

The 2000's really despised having any protagonist.

Yeah there are some real extemes when it comes to Coen movies and fan opinions. Not that these are all Coen films but I've watched Raising Arizona 5 times, Goodfellas 4 times, O Brother 3 times and What About Bob twice. I despised each showing of each movie.

I only watched them because friends that know me well insisted I must have been in a bad mood and that I'd love these films if I'd just give them one more chance. But the truth is, we're not all the same. I hated almost every moment of Raising Arizona, didn't find a damned thing to even pretend to smile about and couldn't wait for it to be over every time I sat through it. There is no mood or state of mind that would see me liking that piece of crap yet others here rank it among their favorites. Each to their own.

You need to watch "Goodfellas" one more time. It's one of my favorites. :)

Ray Liotta is especially good in this film.

Not in this life. It just isn't for me. I love Godfather (and G2) so it's not that it's a mob movie, I just don't typically enjoy Scorsese films. In my younger years I appreciated movies such as Taxi Driver and Raging Bull but I don't think I'd enjoy even those two today. And I don't think he makes bad movies, quite the opposite. They're just not my type of movies.

Obviously DiCaprio’s role yes.
Leo and Damon put on incredible performances in The Departed. Like all time.

Jack Nicholson phoned in his performance and was miscast. The movie has some issues but highly entertaining.

Is there a real protagonist in The Departed?
Both DiCaprio and Wahlberg’s characters are protagonists, as is Martin Sheen’s character.

That said, I find the departed to be overrated and sad that is the movie the academy finally recognized Scorcese’s genius.

Leo's best work was Shutter Island.
Very good movie that ends on a philosophical question.
