Glad to see Cunningham actually has Caitlin's back. Crazy the rest of the team still does nothing to show her support.

It is interesting to watch she's making the league much more popular which will ulitmately raise the payscale for all the players. But it still seems like so many of the other players are jealous. I also think the best part of her game is her passing, the 30 footers and the handle is impressive but she's a REALLY good passer, her bounce passes are next level good.

What am I missing when it comes to Angel Reese? She's a great rebounder, sure, but she doesn't seem to do anything else well. Why is she the one getting all the marketing gigs? It's like the NBA concentrating all their energy on Dennis Rodman for marketing.

Clark has had injury problems, but it doesn't seem like the two of them should be mentioned in the same sentence.

Unlike Rodman, many of Reese's rebounds are called "mebounds" where she misses so badly that she is right there for her own rebound - sometimes a couple in a row. Definitely helps pad your stats in that category.

Ice Cube Explains Why Caitlin Clark Was Offered $5M To Play in BIG3 League Instead Of Angel Reese

BIG3 cofounder Ice Cube recently revealed to TMZ that the reason he offered millions to Indiana Fever player Caitlin Clark, rather than her rival, Chicago Sky player Angel Reese, came down to the financial impact on the league.

When Clark (and Reese) was gearing up to play for the WNBA, Cube reportedly extended an offer of $5 million to lure her into the BIG3 league, where she would play a total of eight games for the season. She eventually turned it down and went on to make a name for herself in her rookie season in the WNBA.

Cube was asked about offering Reese a contract to play in the summer 3-on-3 basketball league. He did acknowledge that Reese is a “great player,” but then he went on to explain why Clark was offered the deal instead of Reese.

“The thing with Caitlin Clark, it was just to unlock millions for the league because of her stardom. What our sponsors [were] telling us, they didn’t tell us the same thing about Angel Reese, so I don’t know if we can make that same offer.”

After being asked if the league could make a different offer to Reese that wouldn’t pay her as much as what Clark was offered, Cube shook his head and said, “I don’t think we can make that same offer because it won’t have the same impact on the league.”

He can be talking about the WNBA here, not BIG3 and still have a relevant point. I don't think Angel Reese is a great player is the only difference I have with him.

Clark's presence has made a huge difference in making the WNBA what it is today. And again, the W is squandering it. What if Clark just gets fed up and does take the $5m offer, or a large offer from overseas, because the WNBA doesn't pay their players? What do they think will happen to the league? "Don't worry, Angel Reese will carry the WNBA."
