Cardinals move up to #21.

The Cardinals 4 losses have come against teams currently ranked in the top 7 (#3, #5, #6, #7).

Now it’s #1 #3 #5 #6

Cardinals making a move up to #18. First time inside the top 20.

This seems about right. Could argue for a couple spots higher due to having the 3rd toughest SoS so far. Interestingly, we are 17th in SRS which uses SoS and point differential to assign a score to the team. We graded out at +.3, which is 17th and slightly above average.

And the Cards jump 4 spots to #14
And they jumped from 18 to 12 in ESPN's power rankings.

Oh boy, here we go with the "head coach buzz talk" lol! :)

12. Arizona Cardinals (6–4)

Last week’s ranking: No. 14
Last week’s result: beat New York Jets, 31–6
This week: bye

The second-best team in the NFL on opening drives and the fourth-most efficient offense in the NFL, the Cardinals have it all right now. Against the Jets, it was clear that the execution was there. Kyler Murray’s zone read game was devastating and pulled the rug out from underneath a team that was already unwilling to match them physically. There is some legitimate and well-earned head coaching buzz around offensive coordinator Drew Petzing right now.

To @602 Native 's credit, we are taking advantage of a shift in scheduled opponents. That doesn't discount what the team is doing, but the Cardinals are a bit of a mirage. The defense still has issues pressuring the opponent and stopping the run. The offense is looking a bit more versatile and is putting teams in chase mode which is what most hoped we would see from it before the season started.

Needs to do it another season before this is a reality.

This has been a Jekle and Hyde season offensively from a play call perspective.

But, you have to give the offense a lot of credit. Coming in to both the Bears and Jets games, a lot of talk was how good each of their defenses were, yet we had no issues scoring. And that forced the opposing offenses to change their game plans.

The "The best offense is a good defense" has validity here.

I could see a situation where we win 11 games, improve the defense, have a harder schedule and win 10 games next year, but make a deeper playoff push.
