Is cutting the weakest link, though, at that position really a big deal? He's played like poop and really hasn't sniffed the grass lately. Maybe they are content with blowing up the playing time for Thomas (they should be).

The Arizona Cardinals have released fourth-year pro defensive end Michael Dogbe, the team announced on Thursday.

Dogbe’s snap count in 2022 has also seen a drop from the beginning of the season.

After playing in a season-high 51% of defensive snaps (36) and in 56% on special teams (15) against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, Dogbe has not seen 20% of the snap count on either defense or special teams in each of the last four weeks.

He played 0 defensive snaps the last 2 games and doesn't contribute on Special Teams. Something must have happened in week 1, because his 15 teams snaps went to 5 or less thereafter.

They may want to give some playing time to Trysten Hill, who they just picked up on waivers, or Johnathan Ledbetter, or even Manny Jones from practice squad. Obviously, Dogbe was a dog.
