Yeah that makes sense. A year after the NFC Title game there was still a lot of hope, and a loss there would have pretty much ended our hopes. Not that the tie did us much good.
That game was definitely intense though. Crowd was on its feet literally the entire game. It’s burned into my brain because my back was killing me at that point and I was in a massive amount of pain from standing for 4 hours.

Even more painful… we could have won the game in OT when David Johnson got the corner near the goal line and the idiot KICKED the pylon, thinking that meant a TD instead of reaching the ball over the end zone line. And that set up the missed 20 yard FG. I was dumbstruck at that play. Like… how do WE all know that rule but guys playing don’t?!

Yeah, Bobby Wagner had that incredible blocked FG too where he hurdled the line. I was sure that was a penalty, but it wasn’t because he cleared everyone.

They are roasting Russel Wilson on the post-game show on Amazon. I have never seen Tony Gonzalez so flabbergasted and critical
