Dude ain't going to play a snap this year unless something goes badly wrong.
Lets say this, 95% he won't play a snap, but most critical part for a rookie offensive lineman to make the transition is the technique, they said he is pretty solid in this department

"Smith's pro fit may be best at center to play in a more confined space where he can get his hands on defenders more quickly and dictate terms to the opponent."

Rodney Hudson successor
Yeah, that one scouting report said his best fit in the NFL might be at C. Give him a couple years.... who the hell knows?

PROS

  • Balance and fluidity that you don't often see on the interior.
  • Sends shivers with his punch. NFL-caliber violence in pass pro.
  • Finds linebackers better than his testing numbers would suggest.

CONS

  • Length below where you'd like it for the guard position.
  • Could stand to sustain blocks longer. Zero big-time blocks in the run game last year.
  • Never took the next step from a grading perspective. Middling production.

Not sure what is expected here. Looks like a good value pick based on what I have read. Not a small school guy either.
