While I think Rondale can do some of those things I’m uncertain it’s in our best interest. He’s substantially smaller than Deebo (5’7/180 compared to 5’10/214) and has shown proclivities to injury (granted Deebo did earlier in career as well). Running him from behind the LOS will include some pounding. I’m much more interested in getting him downfield in space where his speed and suddenness can better break open a game.

Deebo has had a ton of injuries going back to the real USC.

Moore already has more career yards than Isabella so I think we're safe from that.

curious on expectations: what would success for year 2 of Rondale Moore look like?

Kirks numbers? 77/982/5. if they get that (and assuming something normal for Hop) its a home run

Moore has far more physical tools, better at run after catch..the question is can he run routes? We don’t really know bc Kliffy only used him as a gadget. If the WR room remains the same and by same I mean adding AJ/Julio on the outside I would expect Moore to match or exceed Kirk’s numbers just based on volume alone. Kirk’s stats were not from doing anything spectacular what so ever.. purely volume. I feel confident in the opinion we could have added Cedric Wilson level of player in Kirks role last year and he prob would have exceeded Kirk’s performance.

If you’re projecting Moore at 700 yards that’s (a) less than kirk; and (b) doesn’t account for moore’s production last season.

Never said we didn’t need to add more than 1 WR. I think we really need to add a 1B frankly, but have zero faith n this off-season at this point…

Also, never stated Moore at 700 yards. I did state however that I think Moore will match or exceed Kirks production last year if the WR room stays the same as it was last year essentially and we end up adding Julio/AJ.

I don't question Moore's abilities at all. If healthy, I believe he will be better in our offense that Kirk was. My question is simple. Can he stay healthy long enough to have a strong NFL career? That's my biggest concern with Rondale. Otherwise, I like him a lot!!

They did know it even before the draft, that's why u don't draft guys with some medical flags in the first two rounds, even more if they are undersized

You generally don't, but there are always extenuating circumstances. For me, Moore fell into the latter. But generally, I agree with you.

Yes, but even if we had a 3rd, Moore would not have been around by then. The Cardinals liked Moore, and I don’t blame them a bit. He was a solid 2nd round selection. If healthy, he will be electric. I don’t doubt that at all. Way, way too early to have any reservations about that pick.

If DL Davis from UGA is still there at 23, I wouldn‘t hesitate to draft him. The inability to stop the run is our most glaring weakness. And this kid can collapse a pocket too.

That’s what I’ve been saying. I was hoping we would have brought one in like Scantling , Pringle or Wilson. Not cap busters but guys that were young and fast with upside.
Add a rookie and suddenly we at least look dangerous.

Murray is scared to get hit, and when he doesn't trust his line he plays at 50% at best, he is a top qb, offensive line is the priority

I want Murray to avoid hits. As many as possible. Murray didn’t play poorly at all. He made some great plays even when his OL was downright awful in protection. That happened many, many times. Even in the games when the Cardinals offense played impressively: against TN, CLE, MN, @LAR, HOU, CHI, DAL, he still had to almost always make the first guy miss. The reason we scored 30+ points in those games was because Murray would escape the rush & find someone open. Our offense went south when our IOL was in a shambles, and teams came right up the middle almost untouched. Hudson was a great addition, but missed 5 games & played at about 70% when he did actually play. The BACKUP guard play was horrendous, and without Hopkins & Moore, even when he scrambled, the options weren’t as obvious as they were earlier in the season. Add a defense that couldn’t stop ANYONE the last month of the season, and it’s not rocket science why we finished the way we did.
