R.I.P John Clayton. Always looked forward to his inside the NFL info on ESPN segments long before others started doing it. It was harder back then for me to get the inside scoop on Cardinals news but he was on top of pretty much every team first.

I hope he gets to report on next year's Christ Bowl when the Apostles once again take on the Saints. Madden did a good job this year, when the Saints beat the Apostles 24-21. That tub of lard St Thomas plowed in from the 1 on the final play of the game, as St Patrick distracted both the Apostles and the refs by letting loose a bag of snakes as the clock was winding down.

Next year's game will be held in the Apostle's home stadium and should be even better with both him and Clayton announcing the game in the heavenly booth from the Apostle's Holy Spirit Memorial Stadium.
