Fellas, Cardinals are going to start 2021 NFL season with Byron Murphy, Robert Alford and Marco Wilson as their starting cornerbacks.

That is it. That is the post.

I like Byron Murphy a lot more than most I guess. Same goes with Marco Wilson. AND if you told me Isaiah Simmons was going to be a base def SS, I would argue that a secondary of Byron Murphy, Marco Wilson, Budda Baker, Isaiah Simmons, and a S to come in and move Simmons to ILB in nickel of Jalen Thompson has some really solid potential. May still need a "#1" cb but that looks real young and real good.

Murphy on the outside is a pretty known quantity at this point. He played out there more than you would have anticipated last season. He didn't play particularly well, but you know he's not going to be a total dumpster fire.

For me, more relies on Murphy making a leap than anything else. They seem to be relying on it. Expecting it even.

If that doesn't materialize it will be a major problem.

A lot rides on what Vance is doing with the scheme. Lots of changes to the backfield this year.

Hicks is in the game, the opposing offense is in a running formation, then the QB sees Hicks, calls an immediate audible, and throws to the TE for a giant chunk play. He's a total liability in the pass game while only okay in the run game, and that's a recipe for disaster.

Baker will hit him low.

I agree. Henry isn’t the type of runner that you take down high. Have to hit him low to either take him down or stop his momentum. Baker will do that.

It’s scary as hell to tackle Henry because of his sheer dominant frame & ferocious stiff arm, but he ain’t gonna lower his pads down like that & run over you. That’s never been Henry. Doesn’t take away his dominance at all however.

Watching Carson play, he’s gonna lower his pads all the way down & bring the boom to you. Like Thomas Rawls before him & the much better Marshawn Lynch before them.

Henry is human. He hurts and he bleeds like any other player. If our guys are wringing their hands in fear of him, like some of these posts seem to be doing, then we are screwed and might as well not show up for the game. The Titans should be very good, but they are not going a completely invincible juggernaut. It's not like they are undefeated in every game Henry has played.
