Just a thought..
Why not see if he is available?
Drake is going to be out a few weeks, maybe more..
Atlanta should be having a fire Sale

No.

Too high a salary, and the knee is still suspect.

If we go after anyone it should be someone willing to be a backup who is competent - a carlos hyde / duke johnson type.

Actually, his salary is only $3.5M, and almost half of that has been paid already.

He's looked pretty solid when i've watched him, and has averaged 17 carries and 2 catches per game at 4 yards per rush. And, he'd only need to hold up for however long Drake is out.

Drake has been “VERY” average this year.
He had a big run at the end of the dallas game, but very average.
In KK system they need a bellcow back.
I Love chase edmonds, but they need a strong 1-2 punch.
Now is the time to make a move with the bye week..
They need the best available vet..
Looking at the teams that dont seem to going anywhere this year..
Gurly stands out..
Jets- nothing interests me
Patrtiots-same
Bengals- joe mixon (possible), but cincy is trying to build, and i dont like his character
Jaxville- maybe james robinson
Houston- nothing - I couldn’t take the david johnson running into the pile
Giants- nothing
Vikings- dalvin cook, but i dont think they are throwing in the towel, and they would trade him anyway.

Todd Gurley seems like the clear choice.. Plus his knowledge of the rams and Revenge factor with the rams not paying him what they owed him and letting him walk..

His knee could give out at any minute. There's a reason one one wanted him this off-season. Not worth wasting a draft pick.

Davonta Freeman would have been the guy I would have pulled off the scrap heap if he was still available. He seems like he would have fit in as a combo with Chase.

Anyway, I dont think we trade for a RB, unless its a 7th rounder for someone. I think Chase is 1, Eno is 2, and we bring in someone like a Lamar Miller or Isiah Crowell as the 3rd back...knowing they will not get much work, but if we have another injury they could step in and log some carries.

I think its time to see Eno in some game action. We have the bye week to get him reps. He's a gamer...and hes not be asked to start. He should be able to come in and provide 7-10 competent touches per game while Drake is out.

What happens if edmonds does fine and drake is back in 3 games? Are you sitting drake or edmonds for Gurley? Or are you letting gurley go and giving up a draft pick for 3 weeks of service?

Sorry I meant Edmonds. I don't think they will trade a pick for a bell cow back when they are paying Drake $8.5m and can still get 6+ games out of him.

He’d be a good platoon back with Chase..and grass would be better for his knees. Plus, he even scores TDs, by accident...and he’d still get 2 shots at Rams.
