The ability to track the ball deep concerns me. Thats the important thing for a fast wr.

I can definitely see him being effective being moved around in rotation with Hopkins manning the #1 slot.

That ultimately separates a guy from being Steve Smith or Percy Harvin.

Harvin's inability to track the deep ball (as well as health) is what kept him from being a great wr.

Looking into Ruggs background though seemed like he was more of a basketball player growing up. If he hits he could be Tyreke Hill 2.0.

Just depends on if we're the organization to bring the best out of him? Or is just going to be "ok"

He was still limited to just being a slot wr when healthy. Its why the Seahawks were willing to give up on him so soon. Not much of a downfield threat.

Drafted by Al Davis way too high because of his speed, but he couldn't catch a cold.

I think Jeudy is really good and clearly more advanced (especially earlier in their careers)

However, you can look at the difference between Parris Campbell and Terry McLaurin last year. Campbell was the one who put up big #s at OSU, was drafted 1st, etc. Yet it was McLaurin who looks like the better pro.

I think Ruggs will be a great deep threat if he goes to the right team. However, Jeudy probably works for any team.

Yeah but not a great comparison.

Campbell ran a faster 40 at the combine than McLaurin did, Campbell ran a 4.31, same as Isabella. Campbell outdid McLaurin in every combine activity except the bench press. But McLaurin looked like a much more polished WR as a rookie.

Jeudy and Ruggs played together for 3 years and Jeudy was the better player for 3 years, no question Ruggs is the better athlete and if he ever gets the kind of polish Jeudy has, look out, but right now Jeudy is clearly better.

on the contested catches, been saying that for months, yes Lamb has more and it's in part because he's good at it and in part because Jeudy gets so WIDE open. The claim is Jeudy won't get wide open in the NFL and will have to make more contested catches so it will be a bigger adjustment for him. Could be true, could be that Lamb will find out it's harder to get off the LOS in the NFL than in college, and Jeudy will see far less double teams in the NFL and might actually thrive.

We'll see, hopefully, still not convinced we're going to have a full season.

I didn't watch that whole video but the first catch and run TD the entire play happens because of #4, Jeudy. Watch the defense the reason he gets to the house is the defense on that play is worrying about Jeudy in the slot, when Ruggs catches the ball, Jeudy takes out the one man that has a chance to get Ruggs before he hits full speed, and Ruggs is gone. Great play but completely set up by the defense being so concerned with Jeudy. There's 3 defenders in the area, 1 of them is covering one side of Jeudy, 1 is the deeper guy also covering Jeudy, and 1 of them is covering the crossing pattern with Ruggs.
