It wasn't pretty but it's a win nonetheless! Shout out to Edmonds and the Defense for stepping up big today. Liked the play calls from KK today apart from the boring and just dumb running plays that went nowhere.

K1 was poor today without a doubt but despite his mistakes, he didn't turn the ball over even once. Jones on the other hand fumbled the ball 3 times and threw a silly interception. Sure he had more yards and completions than Murray but his TO's killed his team today IMO.

Although I would have preferred Shurmer over Wilks last year, I’m glad we didn’t get him. His run call on 3rd and 20 was a head scratcher. Kliff, meanwhile needs to stop being so darn conservative when we have a lead.

That was unreal. That was the biggest flub call of the game right there.

It’s merited today, IMO. He’s had a pretty crummy game and was outplayed by his rookie counterpart.

Uh no. How many turnovers did Murray have? How many did jones have?

tgus was not a good game by Murray. But he didn’t lose it either. Jones was a turnover machine.

K1 wasn't asked to throw the weather wasn't great in 2nd half and we saw a game without much throwing by us.
And at the end of the Game we saw why we didn't throw Barkley and Tate droped balls and got disrupted just because of it. Olsen even mentioned that with this kind of rain and artificial ground the D has all edges.

Without the ST TD this game never would have been in any kind of problem. And seeing what the 49ers did, 9-0 I think we managed it quite well.

Overall yes, on 1st you sometimes should throw it if possible, but yes, that is something KK has to learn and KM will probably never run out of sidline, if it was we that did need the points it would have beend the right call, on protecting himself it would have been the right call if we leed by 7 but with a 3 point lead it was the wrong thing to do and he knew when he was out of bounds.

Or maybe before there was so little hype and such low expectations for him they are okay with it.

lets be honest: K1 had an game manager kind of game -- with a couple bad decisions impacting things

deep in his own territory with a 10 point lead, he could have thrown that ball away and just punted it back to the Giants. instead he took a bad sack that led to directly to the blocked punt

fortunately -- going out of bounds to stop the clock didnt come back to haunt them

he had been carrying the offense -- so im not apologizing for winning a game where he was just "ok"

They seem to be pretty balanced between bashing Jones' play and their coaching.

Winning these close games will benefit this team moving forward. It will give them confidence that when things are going bad, they can still win. For us fans getting our heart rate up lets us know we're alive.
