Soccer foul!

Rockets sites are saying the video is doctored and in the actual video there is a glancing blow. Still think he flopped but if the video on Rockets sites is real, that one is not accurate.

Harden is the proverbial boy who cried wolf with all the exaggeration he does. I just assume he's always flopping now, and I hate watching him play as a result of it, even though he's an unstoppable offensive player.

Imo he should be suspended for disrespecting the game with something like that. Suspension in the playoffs would curtail that crap.

I would bet that more than half the reason for the act (I thought in-game they showed a replay that there was contact on the shoulder but not throat...) is it was Ingles. Ingles is just as bad at instigating with BS as Harden is at flopping. Ingles is no choir-boy. For reference, see Paul George in last year's playoff series against Ingles.

Agreed INgles is a chippy guy.

There's a full length video that shows from the backside so you can't see if he gets hit or not, but the reaction afterwards is hilarious. Harden looks stunned, then he is perfectly fine runs over to play defense, then he realizes the play is over and he's stunned again, grabs his throat again and then is signalling to come out of the game.

Has anyone heard of a video being doctored for such a ridiculous play before? This is game 3 in a 1st round playoff matchup with the #4 and #5 seed. There is an MVP and a chippy role player involved in the questionable play. Why would someone choose that play to doctor when there are a half dozen clear incidents of Harden flopping from any game? Why not just run with one of those instead of doctoring a specific play that the league won't fine him for and nothing will come from it?

I can't believe people are crying foul because this is apparently "doctored". I suppose we'll hear that more in the future with video editing technology being easier to use by novices across the world.

A techie friend of mine said it's a technology called "deepfakes" and that like most such innovations it originated in the porn industry. I guess I'm going to have to do some "research".


He apparently knows the Rockets fan(he's one too) who posted that link I posted saying it was doctored and he said it would really surprise if he doctored his video and then accused someone else of doing it he's just not that kind of guy.

The only thing they could have tried is like with two seconds left, not enough time for Lilard to pass and another player get a shot off, someone else on OKC could have left their man and made a run at Lilard just maybe to distract him? Sounds like Kevin Calabro. He used to call Sonics games way back in the day while I was growing up and he's always been great.

You live with that play, IMO. I saw George get bashed on Twitter for saying basically the same thing, that he didn't allow him a good shot so you have to live with it. Some fans were going nuts because Lillard made it apparently they thought it was a good shot since he's gone like 5-5 from 30+ feet this playoff series. I don't care if he is 4-4 prior to that shot though, it's not a good look. He made it and that sucks for OKC but even if he missed it would have been OT so the pressure wasn't really on him that much.

You just have to take your hat off to him. He makes a 37 footer, not much you can do. We have all seen how they call fouls on three pointers now.

It was much deeper but it brought back memories of Salim Stoudamire's game winner over freshman Arron Afflalo where Arron just didn't think he could possibly shoot from that far away and he did and hit it.

I saw the highlights this morning and I read 37 footer and thought yeah right, then I saw the actual shot and yeah I can definitely believe that's at least 37 feet.

I have to say people keep crediting Curry for changing the "geometry" with these longer 3's but people forget the guy who actually started that, and even Curry credits him, is Reggie Miller. Same thing he'd shoot from so far away that people who hadn't played him before simply didn't realize he could make it, the whole Reggie Range was based on that. Curry has taken it to another level, deeper and more accurate, and Lillard is getting there quickly.

ESPN had a guy for years named Bill Pidto, started on ESPN2, no idea where he is now. I played against him in HS, he went to Palo Alto HS. Very first possession of the game I'm guarding him and he's about 28 feet away so I'm not at all concerned and he just sets and swishes it. We were sophomores so i was 14 or 15 at the time I assume he was. There was no 3 point line at the time and I'd been playing my whole life but I'd never seen anybody shoot from that far away in a game that wasn't a beat the clock heave. His name is pronounced peedo but we were all calling him PIDDtoe before the game started, needless to say he was impressive. Short squatty guy too you would not have looked at him and said that guy is the best player on that team but he was.

I was at that game last night. I've never experienced a game like that live. Nurk drove the game during the 3rd quarter and showed up on the bench with about 2 minutes left. The crowd went nuts and he pumped it up even more on the scoreboard. The Blazers fed off of that and OKC did not score again. From my seat, I could tell Dame's shot was going in. When it did, I've never experienced energy like that! It was an experience of a lifetime!
